Choking I am,
On the air of deceit,
In the water of lies,
That which I thought was mine,
Was never really alive.
That heart in you,
Which I thought pumped for me,
Did never actually survive.
Survive the lustful chase of another,
It never really knew,
Where it's loyalty lies.
The promises I thought were true,
Were nothing but lies,
You told to me
And yourself.
