I met you,
In the strangest of ways.
In the commotions,
In the sunniest of days.
And then my heart said to me,
On a subsequent rainy day,
All it wanted from life,
Was you.
All it wanted from the rain,
Was soaking in you.
And then on a later Autumn day,
We ran about the withering leaves,
Catching each other's smiles,
In hugs and promises.
And then on a more subsequent wintery day,
Your warmth faded,
I was left freezing,
As from my life you walked away.
Like all the seasons come and go,
You came,
Smiled on me,
Shattered my love,
And went away.
