Part 13

Kalani POV
"Thanks for helping me unpack " I say flopping back in my bed , "girl it was no problem " she says smiling and walking to her desk . Natalie helped me unpack my things while the boys brought them up . The room is slightly bigger than I thought it would be but its cool besides us having to share a bathroom with everyone else .

Looking over at my phone ringing I flip it over to see I had a FaceTime call from August . Answering it I sit up and prop the phone up on one of my throw pillows . "Bestie" I say smiling , "hey lil mama " he said chuckling . "Kalani I'm going to shower leave the light on I'll turn them out when I come back " she said grabbing her caddy and clothes walking out . I'm glad I got a roommate like Natalie.

"I see you're settled in " he replied putting his hand behind his head smiling . I want to know what's been up with him today "yeah ...Aug you sure you okay ?, you seemed a bit aggravated and put off ish today ." I said coming out with it . I mean that's not his usual him I know the flight and stuff was tiring but not enough for him to push everybody away .

" you know you ask me that a lot , but yes ma I'm okay " he says smiling and getting up off the bed . "Yeah ... It's just a worry about you sometimes , you push everyone out and I want to help before you make any stupid Deci- " , " Kalani ?" , "yeah ?" , "shut up " he said laughing . See this is the August I've grown to know over these months .

Playfully rolling my eyes and laughing along I asked "did you speak to Carol ?" . I wonder where is August's mother , I mean we've grown close but things still remain unsaid . "Yeah she called as soon as Chris and I left from bringing your stuff up , what about mom and Travis ? I know she missed me " he said smiling . August have even grown on to my parents over the months . Especially my dad there's nothing anybody can say that makes me think my dad doesn't like August more than me . Rolling my eyes and laughing at the fact he called my mom mom I replied "yeah , they asked about everyone and how we like it so far "

August POV
"yeah , they asked about everyone and how we like it so far " she said yawning . "Someone's sleepy " I say smiling looking over I see Chris standing at the doorway watching me while brushing his teeth . Widening my eyes I stop smiling as he begins to smirk . " yeah all that unpacking has me beat ...why you look surprised ?" She says as I turn back to the screen . "Uh .um ...Hold on real quick ma " I replied and instantly putting it on mute .

"Man I thought you were still in the bathroom ?" I say trying to avoid what will come after that smirk of his . " oh I was .. so what you smiling for man ?" he asked still smirking . Giving him a death glare I turn back to my phone to see it wasn't muted . Shit . Shit .shit.shit . Even though nothing was said any person with common sense can see where the hell the conversation was going .

Playing it off I turn back to him and say "what I can't smile now?" . Leaning over he looks at my screen a bit and replys " well talk about this later " while smirking and walking out . Man that was close one I can't let nobody know how I'm feeling. Cause at this point I don't know why I'm feeling this way and a nigga don't go around venting out his feelings to people like that .

I turn back to my phone to see Kalani sound asleep . Damn this girl was just fully awake . Chuckling a bit I shake my head putting it on charge and then propping it up on the pillow beside me .Don't get the wrong idea we always do this , best friend type stuff she wakes me up because I seem to never hear my phone alarm . Besides when I think about it we're better off as friends like I said before , I'd rather have this then get in a relationship and fuck up .

Hearing the door click open I see Chris come in "so back to our conversation" he said still with that ugly ass smirk on his face . Yelling 'goodnight' I turn my lamp off , pull the blankets up on me and lay down next to my phone . "Oh and Chris please find your damn chill nothing going on " I reply  sitting back up looking at him . I don't need him having no chill while I'm asleep . Holding his hands up , he laughs saying 'gotchu bro' getting in his bed turning the tv on . What a damn day I tell you .
