I woke up with tears stained on my face. It was 9:14 pm on Friday. I sat up on my messy bed and thought about what happened earlier. I wiped my eyes and stood up. I grabbed my hoodie and my phone and walked out of my room and into the hallway of my house. I went downstairs quietly and walked towards the front door. I grabbed the door knob and looked back up at my dad bedroom door. I looked up at the door again and opened it. I stepped in the doorway then started thinking "what if I did step outside?". I looked back again then stepped out the door. I quietly closed the door then continued walking. When I got far enough I started running towards Ethan's house. I knocked on his a few times hoping he would answer.
