Dreamland

So, this poem should've been added on June 10th. It literally ran away from me and I've forgotten about it. Here it is now!

As another day comes to a closing,

dreamland is opening like a soothing bedtime story

Close your eyes and take a peek inside

The wonderful land of escape

To be eased at the mind as the body reaches a homeostasis state

Finally away from that which is reality

Dreams are next when I'm traveling into this destination

Allowing me to forget about all the struggles throughout the day

Even though I cannot shake them away

But for the time being I will let myself forget

All I will do now, is count my sheep

Letting that be the only picture playing in my mind

I smile for a bit as darkness is all I can see

Peace invades my body and my breathing is in sync with the jumping sheep

When my eyes are finally closing,
I'm fading away into a dream

I welcome the dream with open arms
