The pounding on my door fills my head and I let out a groan as I press my face into my pillow pulling the blankets closer. It's way too early for this. Who the hell comes knocking on peoples doors when the sun is barely out. I crack open an eye and pat down my nightstand for my phone switching it on. I immediately squint at the screen's brightness as I look at the time. 6:00 AM. 6:00 AM! Why? Just why?
The knocking doesn't stop but instead gets louder. There is no sleeping through this I guess. I let out a groan as I sit up and look into the darkness of my room at the door. Two dark spots of someone's shoes are formed in the light under the crack of the bottom of my door. Who is even up this early? Let alone who is up this early and is knocking at my door like it's the biggest emergency in the world.
Finally I pull myself from bed putting on my slippers and making my way to the door. This better be important. I run a hand over my face trying to pull the sleep from my eyes and run it up into my hair hoping to flatten any bed head that might exist. I grab my door handle and pull open the door ready to deal with whoever is behind the door.
This better be important.
I swing opening the door harshly.
There is blond. And red eyes.
Shit.
Bakugo.
I immediately slam the door shut so fast I almost catch my own fingers. My heart pounds in my chest as I stare at the wood flooring in horror.
Great. Perfect. Fucking fantastic.
I probably look like a mess right now. Does my hair look okay? I don't have time to spike it right now. Is he still out there? Looking at the door his shadow is still beneath the door. Shit. Why won't he leave? Why is he here? Did we plan something?
Breathe.
In.
Out.
In.
Out.
He probably just needs something, no need to overthink this one. I run my hands through my hair once more, flattening the last of the parts sticking up in random directions. I step to the door once more, grabbing the handle. He just needs something, nothing more than I can go back to bed. I pull open the door once more, prepared this time.
"What's up? Did you need something?" I say and he just looks at me up and down.
"What are you wearing?" he asks as he crosses his arms and just stares at me.
"Pajamas?" I say in confusion. "You know, the clothes people wear when they sleep."
"You can't train in that," he says bluntly as he crosses his arms.
"Well I'm going to change before going to school," I say with a slight chuckle.
"No. For our training," he says as if it's an obvious answer.
"Huh?" I say in confusion.
"Did you not want to?" he asks and suddenly there is a flash of disappointment on his face before it's replaced with his usual scowl. "We made plans last night."
We did? Oh. We did.
"Years of getting up at the fuck crack of dawn and training till school starts," he says with a laugh. "Sounds like something you'd do? Something you would enjoy, Red?"
"Hell yeah," I say with a smile but immediately regret it.
"Then I'll see you tomorrow then," he says before stacking my papers up and shoving them into my arms. "Until then our time here is done."
