It has been almost 11 years since your village's death and you've never spoken to your new family. Maria has turned more into a sister over the years and her husband, Alexander, was just as nice but you never uttered a word to either, nor grandma Josephine. "(Y/N)!," yells Alexander from the kitchen as you walk in from spending time with the animals in the barn. You walked in slightly laughing, giving him a questioning look. "Can you take a trip up to Castle Town and pick up these supplies?," he asks lifting up a list,"there's gonna be a big ole box of equipment so you better be feeling strong today." You smile and snatch the list from him, giving him a salute on the way out the door. You hook up old Daisy the mule to the cart and set off, letting your mind wander.

You reach one of the bridges to Castle Town and dismount from the cart, walking to the gate. For some reason it wasn't as busy as it normally was, all the shops are open but hardly anyone was out. You started to walk down the corridor to the shop and hear many people whispering gossip. "But there had been peace for so many years..." "...evil can never quit." "Have you heard what Dark Link has done to people?" All the talk hit a cord for some reason and made you feel uncomfortable; you continued to walk looking at the ground, occasionally picking at your (f/c) dress. "Well my sister works st a brothel, and she says he's very perverted AND a great lover!," you hear one trashing looking girl exclaim to her equally whore like friends. Was she talking about this "Dark Link"? You thought in your head. "Have something to say, virgin?," the leader whore asks snidely, right then a black butter fly lands on a well nearby. You glare and walk away while flipping the bird, all the girls scoff and you smirk triumphantly.

"(y/n), nice to see you again. What will it be today?," asks the middle aged shop owner; he was a lazy man but somehow he didn't have a potbelly or double chin. You smile and hand him the list. "Oof, that's a lot of stuff," he comments. "You know (y/n)," he starts as he gathers the supplies, "my nephew is about your age, sister had him at a young age, and I think you two could hit it off quite nicely. If, you know, you would speak with him." You smile a small forced smile and shift on your feet, slightly uncomfortable. "Ah it's alright. In the 6 years I've known you, you haven't spoken a word. Have a good afternoon and get home quick! I'm sure you've been hearing the town folks gossip." You do a quick nod and lift the moderately heavy wooden crate and trudged back to Daisy. Out of the corner of your eye you notice the same black butterfly as earlier and a figure in green a few feet away from you. "Can I help you ma'am? It looks like you are not able to see past that box." The figure in green starts to take the box from you. "There we go," he says with a bright smile, but you were unable to enjoy his kind gesture. His face match the one from your childhood and you became petrified. "Hey, are you o.k.? You look like you've seen a ghost," he asks concerned. For the first time in 11 years you used your voice and scream at the top of your lungs, bolting away from the boy. "Hey!!," he yells and chases after you, the box still in his hands. Your panic rises as he starts to close the gap between you two. "Please stop, this is scaring the people!" You look back one more time and next find yourself in a fountain. "Please don't kill me, please!," you sob with deep terror in your voice. "Please calm down," he places the box down and slowly steps into the fountain, "I would never harm you. I'm not who you probably think I am." He looks at you with deep concern and holds out his hand, you take it. "Wanna talk?"
