You found a path after running for what you could only guess was 2 hours and you we're exhausted, barely walking. Your hair was matted and your body sticky from sweat and blood. You had to rest but your mind told you to keep going - so you did until you collapse on the side of the road, completely conscious but unable to move. Just as soon as you collapsed and elder looking woman steering a mule led cart came along. She stopped and examined you, you looked at her with tears in your eyes and bloody hair stuck to your face. "Oh you poor dear," she had a voice that was crackled but full of compassion, "what happened to you, sweetie?," she asks as she picks you up and places you on the hay in the back of the cart. All you could do was sob in response.

The elderly woman pulled on the reins and the mule stopped in front of an ranch. It had a four foot high cattle fence that spanned the approximate 10 acres, a giant two-story barn, two large chicken coops, and then the middle with a fairly new looking house. "Can you walk now, deary?" You looked up and nodded to the woman, slowly lifting yourself and stepping down from the cart. The woman gently grabbed your hand and led into the house. "Let's run you a bath."

While you're in the bath, you heard muffled voices and you knew they were talking about you. "I heard there was a massacre in a village out past Lake Hylia...," a male voice said, "...a fairly large village... blood everywhere." "Well let's find out." At the last sentence there was a knock on the door. You sat there silently, the knock him again and soon the door opened. A young, fare woman with waist long, dark brown hair peered in offering a weak smile. "Hi, I'm Marie." You looked at her, completely detached. "My mother, Josephine, said she found you," she spoke, coming in with a map in her hand, "want to tell me what happened?" You shook your head and looked towards the map. "Can you show me where your home is?," Marie asks, noticing your gaze. She hands you a towel to dry off your hands and opens the map on the side of the tub, you then point to a section and Marie just about starts to tear up. She analyzes your face and you slump, looming down into the tub. "You WILL stay here," she asserts in a strong yet quivering voice and turns to grab soap and wash your hair. Once again you cry, letting her wash your hair lovingly.

Marie had led you to a to a section of the house and you we're not attempting to sleep in the guest bedroom. Though each time you closed your eyes, you could see every terrifying feature of the dark figure. You lay there until a familiar black butterfly lands on the windowsill perpendicular to your bed. You get up and smile at it sadly, extending a hand out with your palm down. A shot of tension and fear hit you when the insect fluttered onto you but you calmed yourself, even scary things needed love. With that last thought, you put the butterfly next to your pillow and lied down to attempt to sleep once more.
