I've written this because, after everything we've seen in The Dragon Prince, I wasn't quite ready to leave Xadia behind, and while I know The Dragon King is being worked on... We have nothing confirmed.

So I decided to try something slightly ridiculous:

What if there was a Season 8?

This is my attempt at continuing the story from where the show left off — building on its characters, lore, mysteries and unanswered questions while trying to stay as faithful to the world as possible.

And yes...

I would absolutely love it if you started calling this "Season 8" or "The Dragon King."

Is that extremely wishful thinking?

Yes.

Am I going to take it back?

Absolutely not. 😂

But here's the fun part:

You don't just have to read. (I mean you totally can if you want but...)

Throughout the story, there'll be opportunities to get involved — theories, polls, questions, predictions, anonymous forms, and plenty of chances to tell me exactly what you think.

So if you have a theory...

I want to hear it.

If you think I've missed something...

Tell me.

If you spot something suspicious...

Remember it.

Because there are things in this story that may not make sense immediately.

And there may be things that become rather more interesting once you know what happens later...

So keep your eyes open.

You never know what might turn out to matter.

And this isn't just about my story.

It's about the fandom that made me want to write it in the first place.

I've made this for anyone who, like me, still wants to explore The Dragon Prince's incredible world — and to support the people who helped create it, from Aaron Ehasz and Justin Richmond to the writers, animators, actors, and many, many more.

And, of course, the fandom itself deserves some love too.

Because honestly, one of the best things about being part of a fandom is finding other people who are just as ridiculously invested in it as you are. 😂
