Introduction

In a world balanced on the knife's edge between light and shadow, two women are bound by fate—born in the same year, chosen by opposite powers, and destined to clash again and again.

Belladonna Thornweave, feared as The Obsidian Witch, wields the living darkness itself. Shadows bend to her will, weaving into blades, illusions, and veils of endless night. Her golden eyes carry an enchanting curse—capable of stirring fear, desire, or devotion with a single glance. Yet her greatest gift is also her greatest danger: the Eclipse Veil, an abyssal shroud that can plunge entire kingdoms into eternal night. Every time she invokes it, she risks losing herself to the whispers of the void that made her its vessel.

Across from her stands Seraphine Dawncaller, the radiant champion of the Light. Armed with the Solarbrand Spear and divine grace, she is everything Belladonna is not—revered where the Witch is cursed, embraced where Belladonna is cast out. Yet for all her strength, Seraphine sees not only a rival in the Witch, but a tragedy—a woman shackled to powers she never chose.

Their encounters are not battles of good and evil, but a fragile dance of opposites. Sometimes they clash—spear against shadow, radiance against abyss. Sometimes they stand together, forced into uneasy alliances against horrors neither light nor darkness alone can conquer.
