• Chapter 14 •

Hope

I had to admit, I was surprised! I never really thought Faith would do something that spontaneous.

Don't get me wrong I think she looks great, I was actually kinda jealous of her.

I was gonna put red streaks in my hair but now it kinda seems like I'm copying her? I think I'll wait a while if I do it.

This morning, when I woke up, it was 11:00! Apparently when you're in a forest and sleeping in a treehouse it's actually quite peaceful and very quiet.

After I had woken up Sean and I went out to brunch because we were both starving. We went someplace over by our school called The Korner Kitchen.

It was amazing! I had Belgium waffles with strawberries and Sean had an omelet. Then we ordered a side plate of bacon. Let's just say it was super good.

I told him that I would pay for my own breakfast but he told me he had it. When I realized I didn't bring any money with me I had no other choice.

I told Sean I would pay him back but again he refused. Like I thought I was stubborn, he's like ten times worse!

After breakfast we just drove around until we both were ready to go home. I had gotten home around 4:00 and when I did, I went straight to my room.

I did not want to face my mother again. I also didn't want to spoil the good time I did have, so I just sketched for a little bit while listening to music.

When both my parents went out for groceries I decided I was done hiding so I went downstairs and just watched Netflix.

Netflix was always there for me when I needed it.

When Faith came home of course I was surprised but to be honest I was proud of her. She didn't do these things, she liked to stay in her comfort zone.

Today was Sunday and that means tonight I get to go to church! Yay... (Note the sarcasm)

My parents thought it was nice that we were involved with church and youth. I don't know why but they did. They too, went to the evening service for the adults. I don't know why, mom sure as hell doesn't act like they tell us to act.

I decided to watch Netflix in the living room because I of course didn't have anything better to do.

I grabbed my phone and started texting Ashlee, telling her all about Friday night.

Then I got a text from Evan,

E: hey, where were you last night?

H: um I came home around supper time and the. Watched Netflix why?

E: we were suppose to hang out?

Oh shoot! He totally asked on Friday if we wanted to hang out and I said yes. I totally forgot with everything that had happened.

H: Omigosh! I'm so sorry I totally forgot with everything that happened Friday :(

E: don't worry about it. It's fine.

H: we can hang out now if ya wanna?

E: nah it's fine I have stuff to do anyways.
