I walk over to where Ashley and Evan are standing. As soon as they see me they immediately rush over, throwing questions at me right and left.

"What happened?"

"Where were you guys?"

"Are you okay?"

"Where's Hope?"

"Were you crying?"

"Drama with boys, skipped and went to Star Bucks, I'm fine, she went to go do something, and yeah." I sigh, answering all their questions. I look down at my shoes, suddenly finding them very captivating.

"Let's go get Hope then." Ash shrugs, as I snap my head up to look at her.

"But she said she had to do something." I protest.

"Well I thing we've given her more than enough time to do what she has to do. What would she need to do anyways?" Ash shrugs again, and suddenly a thought rushes through my head, making me stumble and my eyes widen.

"I know where she is." I blurt. But she wouldn't be that stupid. She wouldn't. But even my thoughts aren't enough to convince me otherwise.

"Really? Where?" Evan speaks up.

"Behind the school." I sigh, running my hand through my hair.

"But why-" Ashley starts but Evan cuts her off.

"Kyle." Evan final connects the dots.

"What does he have anything to do with this?" Ashley asks, thoroughly confused.

"The boy drama, it was Kyle wasn't it?" Evan states more than asks, completely ignoring Ashley.

"We have to get to her before she does anything stupid." I exclaim, shuffling from one foot to the other. To say I was nervous was an understatement, I was full on ready I have about her panic attack, but I was holding it back, not wanting to have a meltdown in front of Hope's friends.

"I'll go with you then, Evan you stay here in case you guys were wrong, and she comes back looking for us." Ashley instructs, grabbing my hand and dragging me to the other side of the school, where Kyle and his gang is sure to hang around.

"Ashley, I'm scared." I admit, as we push through an especially thick crowd of people.

"I know, I am too." Ashley admits, as we finally break out of the crowd and bolt to where Kyle is sure to be.

I stop suddenly, shaking my head in shock as I take in the scene before me. Kyle, straddling Hope, who is clearly struggling, while his friends watch, doing nothing. I see him get pulled off of her, and then she says something, but I'm too far away to hear. Ashley, frozen beside me, has the same expression watching the whole scene play out in front of us like we're watching a movie. Next thing I know she's slammed into a wall as he punches her in the gut. I can barely let a scream rip through my throat before I'm bolting towards Hope, and towards Kyle, only seeing red. I hear a guy shout something, but I'm so consumed by Kyle that I can't make out what he said. Next thing I know, I've flung myself at Kyle, who's stepping away from where he dropped my sister, link on the ground.

"I hate you!" I scream as my nails rake the side of his face, leaving three long scratches across his cheek.

"You bitch!" He shouts before punching me in the face so that I fall down to the ground, just in time for Ashley to reach me.

"Hope," I croak, glaring at the disgusting waste of the earth in front of me. Next thing I know, another guy comes in, throwing punches right and left, getting some good shots in, but Kyle's friends know what's happening now, so they all start ganging up on the boy who must be at least in grade eleven.
