Summoning (VII): The Black Knight

(Y/N): The hell do you think you are, trying to get between my fluffy Mashmallow and me?

Lancelot: GAAAAAAAAAAAA!

(Y/N): Your Shakespearean and prize-winning monologue is duly noted, but I refuse to acknowledge your very sound point. Prepare to die.

Mash: Wait, you two!

Before (Y/N) could introduce Lancelot to the power of Love and Friendship, Mash jumped in between them. The Shielder turned to the latter first.

Mash: Lancelot, calm down, it's just Senpai! He's not going to do anything--!

She paused, looked at the menacing smile (Y/N) sported, and turned back.

Mash: He's not going to do anything if you don't keep provoking him!

Surprisingly, this seemed to calm him down, letting out another long, distorted exhale. Mash frowned at this, but reluctantly directed her attention to the Master.

Mash: Maybe it's better if I show Lancelot around, Senpai. I don't think he's fond of you just yet...

(Y/N): No worries, I have a very fast way of rectifying that. It involves Love, Friendship, and maybe him going back to the Throne for a timeout.

Mash: Let me do this my way, okay? I think he'll come around if you give him a little bit more time.

Oh no, she was making the "act super cute so Senpai always listens to what I have to say" face... Curse him for always falling for that.

(Y/N): Fine, fine. Do what you gotta do.

Mash: Thank you, Senpai. Oh, and, uh... make sure to try and keep you-know-who away if you happen to see her, please?

(Y/N): Sure. In turn, holler if he even looks threatening.

Mash: I'll be alright, Senpai... I don't think he'll hurt me. Come on, Lancelot.

She reached out and tugged on his hand slightly. This did enough, as the knight starting to walk in step with her. They walked away, very much aware of the Master's eerie glance following them.

Then, Lancelot turned back. He lifted his free hand, then placed two fingers under the red line that acted as his visor. He then pointed both fingers at (Y/N).

An unmistakable gesture, one that had (Y/N)'s opinion of Lancelot taking a skydive.

(Y/N): The hell does he think he is? Her father? 

Shinketsu: With how the world works, I wouldn't be surprised if that was the case.

It would explain a lot... and it still didn't deter (Y/N) away from wanting to punch that helmet right off the shoulders.

Hallway

He waited a bit after Mash and Lancelot departed before leaving the simulator himself. He dismissed Romani's worries for the moment and was left alone with his thoughts.

At least, so it would seem.

(Y/N): I'm going to let this instance of you trying to be sneaky slide on account that you weren't aware that I don't like such things.

The space remained silent for a short period of time. Yet, before too long, there was a faint wisp of black and red, and the corrupted king appeared before him.

Salter: Even in a sour mood, you still smile like that. I'm not surprised by everyone thinking you're unsettling.

(Y/N): *smirk* And you cope with that by excluding yourself from that group? I thought you were better than that.
