POV Geto
I roll over again with a huff and stare up at Satoru who is sitting against the headboard. The house is pitch black besides the tablet that is lighting up his face. His tired eyes are squinting at the screen as he types away on the attached keyboard.
"What time is it?" I mumble into my pillow as I squeeze my head down into its fluff.
"2:12." His voice is hoarse but light. A contrasting statement just like Satoru appearing at peace but inside he's being shredded by how the groups mission went yesterday.
I exhale and scoot closer to him so that I can skim my arm over his lap and rub his hip. My fingers trace his delicate skin but his eyes stay focused on his task.
"What you working on?"
"Just adding to our lesson plans. More strength training. More ways to make them think about the heaviest consequences." Satoru brings his hand up and nibbles on his thumb while his blue eyes run through paragraphs of writing.
"I can go collect curses." I say as I watch his face twist at the thought.
"No." Satoru glances at me, warning me not to push it.
"They need practice. The curses would be under my control. You tell me what you want and they'll do it. It's the best way..."
"Suguru." He lowers the screen slightly as he glares at me. "When's the last time you swallowed a curse?"
My heart stops.
He knows when...
Satoru's eyes instantly soften and he closes the laptop pitching us into darkness. His body shuffles so he's laying next to me pressing a kiss to my forehead.
"I'm sorry." He whispers letting his lips linger on my skin.
"That's not fair." I swallow tears that rise way too quickly.
"I know. I... I didn't mean that." Satoru squeezes me against him like he's pressing my heart back together.
"Okay." I whisper against his chest.
The waves outside hum against the sand. The trees sway and creak with age. A lonely song of a bird sweeps through from the depths of the woods.
"It's not a bad idea Suguru. I just...I know you hate doing it."
"It wouldn't be like a mission. You come along. Make it weak quickly and I swallow them. How many would we need...like 10?" I tilt my head up grazing my lips against his chin.
He takes in a deep breath.
"Yeah. Around that much...I'll think about it." A kiss blesses my cheek.
"I will do it for the students. It's no problem." I squeeze him and lay my head against his shoulder as his fingers play with my hair.
"I love you."
"I love you too."
POV Ijichi
-2:30a.m-
This has been an absolute nightmare.
I throw my glasses on the coffee table and push my palms against my eyes. When Gojo asked me to make fake ids and fake certificates and fake this and that I knew it would difficult. But this is impossible.
"Wow. Someone is being dramatic."
"Shoko...don't." I groan and fall back into the couch.
I feel her try to pull my hands away from my face. "Come on Ijichi. If anyone can make fake IDs for a bunch of runaway teenagers it's you!"
