Chapter 2: Talk to Me

POV Gojo

I sit at the kitchen table and watch Suguru prepare the kids their French toast. He has on white shorts and a green cut off where I can just get a glimpse of his toned core when he turns just right.

"You're such a hot dad." I moan dramatically.

"It's too early for your shit Satoru." Suguru replies while mixing up the eggs, milk, vanilla, and cinnamon. He leans his back against the counter trying to keep a straight face while stirring.

"What time would be better for you?" I ask taking a sip of my coffee.

"Hmmmm like 10? So I can kick your butt in front of my students." He grins at me.

"I'll let you kick my butt right now." I wink at him.

"No fun if no one watches."He turns away and starts to dunk and put the bread on the skillet. "Don't reply to that."

*knock knock

I climb out of my chair and run behind Suguru so I can squeeze his butt as I pass. He swats me with the spatula. "Ouch! Settle down Sugar!"

I crack the door open and see Megumi with the girls behind him.

"Who the hell are you?"

"Dad!" Megumi pushes the door open and punches my shoulder. "Don't get between me and a Suguru breakfast."

"He's been practically drooling the whole way here." Mimiko gives me a hug and makes her way quickly to Suguru who she holds tight and gives him a peck on the cheek.

"Hey don't interfere with him cooking! I am hungry!" Nanako jumps so her arms wrap around my neck and she hangs there. "Good morning father."

"Good morning Blondie." I tickle her armpit so she lets go and laughs.

"Let me guess, Mimiko came and got you all up in time." Suguru is already loading up plates as they sit down. I head to the fridge and grab the OJ and a coffee mug for Megumi.

"Actually it was Megumi." Mimiko laughs.

"He's a growing boy! Needs his protein!" Nanako pinches his cheek as he swats her hand away.

"Why couldn't I have a brother?" Megumi whines.

"They were fresh out. I checked." I pour his coffee.

Nanako throws a sugar packet at me and it stops in my infinity.

"You don't play fair." She sticks her tongue out.

I grab it and put it in my coffee.

"Okay settle down before someone ruins our amazing breakfast." Suguru sets the platter on the table and the kids grab and fill their plates. He lays out strawberries and blueberries also.

"Looks amazing Sugu." I make sure my knee rest against his as he sits next to me. I grab some French toast for him and then for me.

We all talk for the next hour about school, studies, upcoming missions, and of course, when we'll see Utahime and Haibara again.

Suguru has on the most genuine smile and his laugh makes my heart happy.

POV Geto

"Don't get distracted Nanako." I call to her from the side of the mat.

She turns her head and gives me a thumbs up. I shake my head knowing what's about to happen. Maki sweeps her legs and gets Nanako in a chokehold.
