Chapter 32: Best Friends Forever

"You have a curse in mind?" Satoru's breath heats up my cheek.

"Yes." I say loudly.

"You need to pull it from your shadows. Open up your shadows. I need to see it Suguru Geto."

My skin tingles with his words.

I bring my elbow down so my fist should be sitting near my chin as I focus on slashing our world open and letting my curse step through.

I hear what sounds like the ripping of flesh. I stay focused. In control.

"Now. Bring me your curse." Satoru has to be further in front of me.

I think of it. It's body. It's technique. It's taste.

There is silence in the dojo. I remain strong in my concentration and think of my shadows. The blackness that surrounds me leaves me yearning for Satoru's voice.

I wait.

"Take off your blindfold." Satoru orders from behind me.

I eagerly rip it off so it hangs around my neck. My eyes adjust to the light in the room and I see my curse in front of me.

Its body barely fits in the room. It's eyes find mine and blue flames emit from it although nothing will catch on fire unless I tell it to. Its tusks jut into the air and its hands clench into fists.

"That's...a special grade curse Suguru."

I turn around to find Satoru smiling at me while examining the curse.

"It is. I have kept it for a special occasion. I had plans for it but those fell through..." my smile fades remembering the village.

"Lucky for them." Satoru hangs his arm on my shoulder.

"Yeah..."

Silence fills the room with the exception of the curses flames cackling and its breathing.

"Release it Suguru."

I wave my arm and the wall opens into my shadows that the curse floats back to. Within seconds the room is empty except for Satoru and I.

POV Gojo

Holy shit.

Suguru turns to me and hugs me tightly, lifting me off the ground. He laughs and happiness envelopes his being.

"I did it! You..." he grabs my face in his hands that tremble. "I love you."

"I love you too Suguru." I manage to squeeze out before his lips find mine and he holds me tight.

I pet his raven hair that lays straight down his back. I manage to roll the strands that get caught in my fingers into a ball before he releases me. I shove it in my pocket quickly while kissing him gently.

"You have to make sure to keep practicing Suguru. I know you'll regain full control again quickly." I pat his cheek.

"Thanks Satoru." He holds my hand to his face and kisses my wrist.

"Uhhhh that's not how you end all your lessons right?"

We turn to the door and Nobara stands next to Megumi and Yuji. Nobara has her hand on her hip annoyed, Megumi has his hands covering his face, Yuji has his big smile and is waving while red in the face.

"No! No, um sorry." Suguru releases my hand and we brush ourselves off.

"Ok so Suguru will be taking over. You feel up for it?" I find his eyes and they are bursting with galaxies.
