Chapter Two

Madison's POV

I walk up to my locker. I grab my stuff, then look around for Lilly.

"LILLY!" I call down the hall way. She looks but walks away. Weird.

"Wow looks like you didn't get the memo." I hear the high pitch voice say from behind me say. I turn around, and there stand of course Olivia.

"It's the first day of school. What do you want?" I say.

"Don't flirt with my boyfriend, Cameron." She says. I give her a look.

"Huh?" I ask puzzled.

"I saw you guys flirting in English." She says and points at me.

"Flirting? You're kidding Olivia. He isn't a object. I'm not saying I was flirting, but it's crazy you think talking to a guys is not considered 'flirting'." I say to her, she stays silent for a minute.

"Good luck with your friend ship with Lilly, I told her about the real you." She says and her possy and her walk away. I stood there, and tried to think of what she was talking about. I walk out of the school, but someone taps my shoulder.

"What!" I yell and spin around.

"Woah chill." Cameron says.

"Just stay away from me. Your crazy ass girlfriend might see us flirting."

"MADDIE!" He says as I walk away. But I didn't stop. I get into my car.

"It's the first day of school and I'm here in my car almost in tears." I say to myself. The first thing I do is drive to Lilly's house. Her house is about 5 minutes away from school. I reach her house and her car is out front. I get out, and knock on the door.

"Hi." I say as she opens the door.

"What!" She says.

"Lilly I don't understand what I did. Olivia got mad because she thought Cam and I where flirting." I say but I could tell by the way she looked at me, that I wasn't convincing her.

"Okay just at least tell me why you are mad at me." I add.

"Where you going to bother to tell me? For the past 5 years you where using me to get popular?" She says as her eyes begin to water.

"Lilly that was 5 years ago. Yes, I will admit in the beginning I did. But after I got to know you everything changed." I say. She stares at me with discussed.

"Wow. I didn't know you would be so low to do something like that." She says.

"LILLY IT WAS 5 YEARS AGO!" I begin to yell.

"5 years for a fake friend ship?" She asks.

"5 years of finding a best friend that I will love for and ever." I say looking at her. She hugs me.

"I'm sorry." She says.

"Can I ask one thing?." I ask.
"Sure."

"Why would you honestly believe Olivia?"

"I don't know."

When I get home, I start to think. Why did Olivia get all mad when I was talking to Cameron? I hear a knock on the door.

"Come in."

"Hey." Cameron says as he comes in my room.

"What the hell get out!" I yell and push him out.

"Stop." He says strongly pulling my hands away from his chest.

"Leave."

"Maddie can we talk."

"You have 5 minutes, tops!" I say and sit down.

"After today we have 3 classes together. And through those 3 classes, and the 3 years I have known you. You have only seen me as Olivia's boy toy. But I want to prove to you that I'm not that way." He says.

"Why?"

"What do you mean why?"

"Cam I'm not a popular. And you shouldn't be here. So because I'm a nice person I'll escort you outside." I say smiling.

"MADDIE!" He yells. I jolt in shock.

"Why are you yelling?" I say.

"Because you're being a bitch." He says. I blink and look at him.

"Excuse me?" I ask.

"Give me a chance." He says.

"Fine."

"Escort me out." He says.

"Fine." I open the door and lead him down stairs, and out the door. But as I walk back into the house he grabs my wrist, and spins me around and his soft gentle lips collides against mine. There was a tingle feeling as his lips touched mine. He pulls away, and leaves without saying a word. What is happening?
