Vader scoffs, but remains still in order to allow me room to work. Once I'm all done with the cleaning of the wound, I go in with some bacta gel, making sure I was gentle with the wound. It was beginning to become infected, but he came to me right beforehand, so I should be able to keep it from progressing any further.

"How long will I have to be careful like this? I have an actual life outside of my wound." He grumbled quietly, his amber eyes flicking to my own. For a moment, we just looked at each other. Before, everything was a bit tense. But this eye contact felt different, a certain spark behind it.

I clear my throat, before continuing with the bacta. "The bacta should speed up the healing process. Applying it regularly should guarantee a speedy recovery. I'd give it two weeks, maybe less if you listen to what I'm telling you. And if you really want to speed it up, take a bacta bath maybe once or twice."

Vader nodded once, looking away again and around the room. His face scrunches up in obvious distaste, sighing deeply. I reach for the bandages and he scoots forward so I can rewrap them around his abdomen. "Your room is so.. bland, little one." He states plainly, as if I hadn't known that already.

"Yeah, well.. it's the same room every person on this ship gets and it's not so bad. What can I say? The grey is growing on me." I replied, a hint of a smile crossing my lips. Vader simply rolled his eyes at my words and behavior, looking at me again. "Whatever you say."

Within a few moments, I finish off the bandaging of his wound and step back to check out my work. Vader gives me a quizzical look, before standing up himself, now towering over me. He looks down at me for a second, before stepping up to me, right in front of me.

When we were close like this, the height difference was inevitable to notice. My head went up to his shoulder, and that was about it. His boots must have some height adjusters in them or something.

"I need more of those pills." He says lowly, eyes burning into mine. I hated the way he looked at me, so intense as if I had killed his mother or something. I shake my head a bit, sighing softly. "They're in the medbay. I'm not on shift anymore, but if you ask one of the night medics-"

"No, I am telling you to get them for me." He interrupts me, furrowing his brows in annoyance. This man had no sense of patience whatsoever. I hesitate for a moment, before going to put on my slippers. "Fine, but you have to come with me so they don't just think I'm stealing pain meds."

Vader grumbled under his breath, but grabbed his cloak and gestured for me to walk. I did so, leading us out of my quarters and to the medbay. As we walked together, he walked slightly behind me, towering over me and appearing as the dark figure he always seems to be.

Lingering troopers and imperials that walked in the hallway would stop to salute Vader, but not before giving me an odd look. It wasn't everyday that you saw the Darth Vader being led around his own ship by a woman, much less a young one, I'm sure.

We get to the medbay and the people on shift give us odd looks as I lead him back inside. I grab my keys from my desk and take him back to the backrooms. "Wait here, I'll grab them for you."

He nods as I head inside, going to grab some of the painkillers for him. I had given him some that were supposed to last at least a week or so. Why in the world was he asking for more?

Either way, I did as I was told and grabbed him a newer, larger bottle that contained a higher number of pills. I reenter the hallway, closing and locking the door behind me. I hold out the bottle for him, giving him a firm look despite his intimidating demeanor.
