Chapter 2: Talk to Me

"That's...not...nice!" Nanako chokes out.

"You got distracted! You're too strong to look this weak Nan!" Maki scolds into her ear while tightening her grip.

"Nanako tap out." Satoru yells from a mat down. He's sitting next to Yuta watching Panda and Megumi spar.

"Nanako, if you pass out you'll be done for the day." I squat next to the pair of girls until Nanako slowly taps Maki's knee.

"Girl you are insane!" Maki lets go immediately and kneels in front of Nanako while she finds her breath.

"Go again in 5. Nice work Maki." I nod my head at her and make my way over to Satoru.

He has on his white blindfold which is something he started doing a few years back. He still wears his glasses but when he's teaching he wraps his eyes so they are completely concealed. I am not sure why...and I have never questioned his antics when it comes to his six eyes because I'll never understand how exhausting they must be.

He has on a white button up and khaki pants that fit him like a glove. I am thankful he's sitting otherwise I wouldn't be able to concentrate.

He turns his head to me and pats the mat where I sit down, his mouth slightly open with a smile. I wish I could see his ocean eyes.

"Nanako needs to keep her wits. Maki is taking it way too easy on her." I whisper to Satoru.

"Yeah she will learn just may be the hard-way..." Satoru shakes his head and I assume his gaze returns to Megumi.

"Use your brain Megs! You can't beat him with brute force." Satoru scolds his voice low and harsh.

Megumi nods his head quickly and ducks under one of Panda's kicks. Megumi starts to quicken his pace and uses Panda's blind spots to land kicks and get back in control.

"Looks like he is fairing pretty well against Panda.  Especially since he cannot use his shikigami." I absentmindedly rest my hand on top of Satoru's.

"He came out of the gate too hard. He'll tire out  in a few more minutes, lose his advantage, and be kicked hard in the gut rendering him dead." Satoru rubs the bridge of his nose.

"Or he'll be able to figure out Panda's repetitive moves and take the advantage when it comes." I realize my hand is squeezing his and instantly pull away.

We have made a big point not to show any affection towards each other during working hours. We know after coming out and then getting married that we are being watched by the higher-ups. Yaga, who was not so happy at first with his two strongest sorcerers hooking up, eventually let it go. We just refrain from showing any affection to each other while in his presence.

POV Gojo

I know he is holding my hand, but I am in no way going to pull away. The hot touch of his large hand makes my stomach flip and I do everything I can to remain concentrated on Megumi, who is actually looking to be the victor in this fight.

Suguru pulls his hand off of mine quickly and puts it in his lap. I look around and obviously no one noticed. Suguru groans while he stands and purposefully lets his fingers run across my undercut as he briskly walks past and down to Mimiko and Inumaki.
