Summoning (V): The Bewitching Gorgon

Start from the beginning

(Y/N): Yep. Mashmallow, meet Medusa.

Mash: Just how many Servants do you know, Senpai?!

(Y/N): Eh, the previous ones, except Galko-chan, all fought in the same Grail War I did.

Mash: Oh... Hmm, maybe that's influencing the summoning process since you're not using any specific catalysts?

(Y/N): Maybe, maybe.

Mash: Also, Medusa? That Medusa, the gorgon?!

(Y/N): In all of her petrifying glory, yes.

He discreetly winked at the Rider, who didn't visibly react outside of a small twitch and her face conspicuously turning away from him.

Mash: But how would that even work? Didn't Da Vinci say that we couldn't summon Divine Spirits? But then again, Lady Vritra answered your summons, so... what?

(Y/N): Mashmallow, in this world, whenever there's a rule, just add "Except for when it does/doesn't" at the end of the sentence and just move on.

Mash: Uh... okay?

(Y/N): Don't worry, she's a real sweetheart. That said, it's good to see you again, Rider.

Medusa: I suppose it is... Master.

(Y/N): You could be a little more enthusiastic about it, sweetie.

Medusa: I am just... processing this turn of events.

She said this while pointedly not facing in his direction. A rather amused (Y/N) couldn't help but laugh at the awkward woman trying to be stoic about the situation.

(Y/N): Don't worry, I know just the way to make you feel better. Mashmallow, let's bother Actually Satan and the Fuyuki Gang!

Mash: Do we always have to go to Emiya specifically, though?

(Y/N): No, but it's funny. I could use a few laughs before I deal with the other upcoming issue...

Mash: What is it?

(Y/N): Don't worry, I'll handle it. Rider, darling, come along! So many familiar faces are waiting!

Medisa nodded awkwardly without a word before she followed. (Y/N) let the Rider to her thoughts for the time being as he led them to the cafeteria, but not without one last word.

(Y/N): We'll have a chat later, yeah?

He didn't need to turn around to feel Medusa's eyes centered squarely on him, or the mix of emotions swirling behind that mask.
