Orm stared at the screen, fingers frozen mid-scroll.

Her jaw tightened as her thumb hovered over the photo Ling just posted.

Ling. In a crop top. Post-gym glow. Sweaty, smug, and standing way too damn close to a woman Orm didn't recognize.

Their arms brushing.

Their smiles too intimate.

The kind of candid that said, "I'm finally free."

No. Fucking. Way.

Orm's eyes twitched, her breath coming short like she'd just run a marathon fueled by pure hate.

She zoomed in.

Again.

And again.

Who was she?

That girl in the picture. That stranger daring to stand where she used to be?

Orm didn't know.

And that scared her more than anything.

Because for three months, she'd tried to win Ling back—with charm, with sex, with guilt.

She used tears and memories, whispered nostalgia through half-naked reunions and fake apologies.

And Ling—her Ling—always folded.

Until now.

Now she was posting photos like a damn soft-launch.

Now she was glowing in freedom.

Now she was... happy?

Orm gripped her phone until her knuckles turned white. Her heart pounded in her ears, a violent, possessive rhythm.

"She thinks she can just walk away?"
"She thinks she's done with me?"
"She thinks some random woman can touch what's mine?"

She started pacing the apartment—no, not pacing.

Stalking.

Her breath shallow, her skin tingling like fire ants.

Orm had always been the chaos Ling hated but craved. The storm that kept pulling her under.

Now she was out here pretending she could breathe without her?

"No," Orm whispered to no one. "She doesn't get to choose peace."

She opened her drawer. Pulled out a box.

Photos. Old letters.

The black lace Ling once wore for her birthday.

A ring she never got the chance to give.

And under it all—a key

Ling never changed the locks.

Orm stared at it like it was a drug.

"You crave me too, Ling," she muttered, slipping it into her purse. "You just forgot how much."

The craving in her chest was worse than addiction now.

Worse than hunger.

She didn't want Ling's love.

She wanted her soul.

She wanted her ruined.
