You looked down at the piece of equipment in front of you not really noticing anyone else. Little did you know that your best friend Chekov was standing right behind you as he always was. Chekov and you and been friends since you were kids and you didn't notice that he had a huge crush on you.

As you finished putting the last screw into place you heard him say your name. "(Y/N)?" he said. You turned to look at him.

"Oh hey Pav" you said moving on to the next piece if equipment. Chekov scrunched up his face. All he wanted was to get your attention. " Um (y/n) I vas vondering if maybe vou'd like like to get a drik sometime? " He asked with his strong Russian accent. (A/N sorry if this makes him like a vampire)

You looked back up at him. "Sure Pav who else is coming. Maybe Bones or Sulu?" you said once again looking down at your work. Pavel felt as if he would cry would you guys ever have a chance at a real relationship?

You walked back to your quarters after a long day of work and for some reason you couldn't get Chekov out of your head. Had he asked you out earlier? And if so had you blown him off? You couldn't take it any more. You were gonna head down to Pavel's room.

Once you reached his room the doors automatically slid open and you walked in.

"Pavel??" You called. It's was too dark for you to really see anything so you just walked slowly.

On your way to Chekov's room you had asked yourself what you would have done if he had actually asked you out. You could only come to one conclusion in your head. You sighed as you walked through the dark. Here goes nothing.

"Pavel?? I know your in here because the door was unlocked. I just wanted to say....I understand and that Pavel Chekov....I love you...." you said your voice slightly shaking

You looked over and saw a shadow coming near you. Your body tensed. You hated the dark. The shadow came closer and closer until it was right in front of you. "Pavel..." you breathed

He smiled. "Pavel!" You said again jumping into his arms. "Don't scare me like that!" He just laughed softly. "I love you too"
