I went back into the kitchen to see my mom home, with a handful of groceries, "How was work today, mom?" I questioned her.

"Good, I mean it's working overtime on the weekend, so it could be better. How was your day?"

"Well, don't I have some news for you," I went and sat on the barstool, "I went and made an appointment with a doctor at the woman's clinic," after I had let those words flow out, she was right by my side with a panicked look, "You're pregnant?" she guessed.

"No, just let me explain," I got up from out of her face and went over to the fridge. I pulled out a plastic cup and poured some milk. Then, I just stood at the counter. I didn't wanna go nowhere near her, as I would tell her.
