Gate: Thus the Bundeswehr fought there!

Chapter 1: An unprovoked attack

Hessen-Center Mall, Frankfurt, Germany, August 2018 

Lieutenant Heinrich Christian Von Moltke, finally got his long awaited 2 weeks of holiday from the Bundeswehr, he was here for shopping at the mall for souvenirs he promised to send to his two friends, 1st Lieutenant Yoji 'Otaku' Itami of the JSDF and Private first-class James Ramirez some Souvenirs and even anime merchandise from Germany, despite Von Moltke blatantly saying better merch will be available in Comecon or Doujinshi exhibits in Japan, but the other two promised Moltke to buy him some merch from their respective countries, so he had to buy them something.

He was holding two bags worth of souvenirs and merch, he also purchased few cases of German Dark Beer, which he promised to Ramirez as well. He still remembers the day when he met both during the Japan-NATO joint exercises on the base of mount Fuji. Despite some lack of interest in Manga's and Anime, Moltke befriended Itami and also got together with Ramirez, Sergeant Foley and Staff Sergeant Dunn, over shared interest over video games.

While not in uniform, they snuck off to Japanese bars, where despite skepticism of Japanese Sake which was seen as 'Spoiled Rice water' by Moltke, he still enjoyed it, and he had to manipulate Itami to behave properly by stealing the other's Doujinshi's and anime figurines and threatening to burn them, something highly valued by the JSDF soldiers and even their officers.

He just got off the metro at the Frankfurt (Main) Kirchplatz station, some distance away, he saw groups of people gathered around a weird structure, which looked like an ancient temple from Roman or Greek times. It swirled with blue-green colors and was a sight to behold.

"Whoa! is this a movie set?"

"Looks like some sci-fi film set, so marvelous!"

" Is this Hollywood???"

Then, a man emerged out the gate, dressed in Roman styled armor

"To the barbarians of this world! I am the official imperial representative of the Glorious Saderan Empire beyond this gate, submit to our army and heed to our Emperor Molt Sol Augustus and you shall be spared from our wrath! surrender your wealth and bodies to us!" said the man in an unintelligible language

None of the by passers cared and simply nonchalantly left, this made the man furious who ordered the Saderans to charge, horsemen with long lances emerged out the gate followed by ugly beasts similar to Orcs, trolls and goblins, it was a pure massacre, and the people ran away in all directions. Von Moltke's soldier instincts kicked in as he saw a 10-yr old boy hiding along an officer for dear life as more and more demi-human creatures, infantry and horsemen came along flying lizards? from the portal.

"Not today bastard!" said Von Moltke as he slammed an enemy soldier heading for the officer and the kid, and since the man wore a metal helmet, his efforts did no good, but Von Moltke got the enemy in a chokehold and used the enemy's Gladius to stab him in the neck.

"Are you both alright?" He asked

"Y-Yes, who are you?" asked the officer

"I'm Second Lieutenant Von Moltke, Bundeswehr Now, let's go."

Von Moltke ushered both the officer and the kid to a nearby building, he saw sirens blare across the city as police cars arrived, trying to stop the enemy in vain, few cars served as blockades and half a dozen officer using their handguns to try to stop the Saderans, but it was too little and too late. He hid the officer and the kid in a building and went off, he prowled the streets in secret, he even saw a poor lady getting cleaved in half by a Goblin. This served him to madden his rage further.

He found an injured police officer on the road.

"Sir, are you alright?" asked Von Moltke

"Yes, t-thanks, c-can you drag me to the nearby cafe? I cannot risk being spotted by the savages, *coughs* "
