"Calm down Faith. Trust me, mom's not gonna kill you. If anything she's gonna kill me for 'starting' the fight with him," I said truthfully.
"Oh come on! I know you and mom don't get along but you're hurt. She has to feel at least sorry and she will help you," she says reassuringly.
Knowing my mom, she wouldn't. I bet you twenty dollars that she's gonna rush over to Faith, ask her what happened and then look at my black eye and tell me to go straight to my room or the bathroom and clean myself up.
The school had called our parents both, trying to get ahold of them. But of course they couldn't. My mom wasn't allowed to answer her phone when she was teaching and my dad had to photograph a wedding today. I don't know why anyone would have a wedding on Friday but whatever.
After school we all had to go to the office. I knew I was gonna get in trouble for this and in sure Bradley, Faith, and Kyle would too. Turned out I was right I as Kyle was suspended. Bradley and I had a week of after school detention, and Faith had only one after school detention because she didn't do much harm.
Finally we arrived home and Faith was, of course, super nervous. I, on the other hand, didn't really care what my parents thought about this whole situation.
"Hey mom!" Faith calls down stairs, "we're home!"
"Oh hey honey! How was school? Anything interesting happen today?"
We walked down stairs slowly but surely. We saw that she was making dinner in the kitchen, and hasn't even looked up to see us yet.
I told Faith that I didn't really see the big deal and we didn't need to show her yet, or at least I didn't. But she insisted so finally I did, but she was gonna have to drag me down.
"Um, today was definitely interesting," Faith says quietly but mom still heard her.
"Whys that?" She looked up from whatever she was cooking. Oh boy, here we go, "Oh My God Faith! What happened to your face?! Are you okay!?"
"Um-I will tell you later maybe at dinner so we can all discuss it?" Faith suggest. Mom wasn't too happy about this but Faith insisted and she caved.
"Okay honey we can do that. But please go lay down, it's been a long day and you look tired," she said concerned and I was yet to be acknowledged.
"Hey mom," I said quietly looking up.
"Hope not now, have you not seen Faith's lip?" She said, she had gotten back to cooking and hadn't really looked at me.
"Fine mom whatever," I said angrily. On my out of the kitchen I kicked the stool, and it went down with a loud clang!
"Hope! Why did you do that?" She finally looked at me, "Hope what happened to you face?!"
Finally she noticed I thought Took her long enough...
"You get upstairs and clean up your face, you still have blood on it! And on your clothes, Hope! I just bought that shirt for you!" She came over to me and grabbed my shirt in her hands.
"God, I knew I shouldn't have come down here!" I yelled and walked away, upstairs and into my room, but not before I slammed the door.
"Arghhhh!" I groaned in frustration, throwing a pillow at the wall. It was better than punching a wall with my already sore hand.
