Chapter 28- One Month of love

Of course, Aiah was still Aiah-teasing, playful, sometimes annoying-but she was also incredibly sweet in ways she didn't even realize. She always made sure I was taken care of, even when she was drowning in work.

That's why, for our first month together, I wanted to do something special for her.

So, I made a plan.

I texted Stacey and Sheena early in the morning.

Mikha: Guys, help me surprise Aiah for our 1st month!
Sheena: Omg YES! Anong plano mo? Stacey: Wait-does Aiah know?
Mikha: Nope. I told her I wouldn't be coming to work today. Hindi ko sinabi kung bakit.
Sheena: Damn, risky move. Alam mo namang clingy 'yon, baka tawagan ka buong araw.
Mikha: That's why I need you guys to distract her!
Stacey: Say less. I got this.

I smiled, feeling giddy about the whole thing.

Aiah was always the one surprising me-random coffee deliveries, flowers sent to my desk, or simply pulling me away from work just so we could sneak in lunch together. Now, it was my turn.

I spent the whole day preparing everything. A private rooftop dinner, fairy lights, a cozy blanket set up under the stars. Simple, but intimate.

Sheena and Stacey kept me updated on their mission to keep Aiah occupied.

Sheena: She keeps asking where you are. Sinabi kong may sakit ka.
Stacey: She doesn't believe us, but she's too busy in a meeting to investigate. HAHAHA

I grinned. Perfect.

With everything almost set, I had one last thing to do-buy flowers and food.

I wanted everything to be perfect. Aiah deserved it.

So, I went to her favorite flower shop first. The scent of fresh blooms filled the air as I entered, scanning the arrangements.

"Good evening, Miss! Looking for something special?" the florist asked with a warm smile.

I nodded. "Yes. I need a bouquet for my girlfriend."

The florist's smile widened. "Aww, how sweet! Any specific flowers she likes?"

I thought for a moment before answering. "She likes white roses, but I want to add something more... special."

"Hmmm." The florist tapped her chin before nodding. "How about white roses with baby's breath and a few tulips for contrast? It's elegant but still romantic."

I smiled. "That sounds perfect."

While waiting for the bouquet, I quickly texted Sheena for an update.

Mikha: Status?
Sheena: Aiah is grumpy. HAHAHA. She's been looking for you all day.
Stacey: She keeps checking her phone like she's waiting for your text.
Mikha: Awww, my baby misses me.
Sheena: More like she's ready to storm your apartment if you don't show up soon.

I chuckled, shaking my head. That was so Aiah.

Once I had the bouquet, I went to pick up our food.

I ordered her favorites-steak, creamy mashed potatoes, and truffle pasta. And, of course, a small chocolate cake with "Happy 1st Month, Love" written on top.

After double-checking everything, I headed back to Aiah's condo.

The rooftop setup was already complete-fairy lights twinkling, the table set, and the soft night breeze making it even more romantic.
