AIAH'S POV:
I walked into the bar with Sheena, Stacey, and Gwen, relieved to be away from the office. Jho couldn't join us tonight because of work-corporate lawyer life and all that. It was just the four of us, ready to relax and have some fun.
As usual, the conversation quickly shifted to teasing and banter, but this time, Sheena wasted no time and went straight to the point.
"So, Aiah," Sheena began, her voice dripping with mischief, "hindi mo ba talaga sasabihin sa amin kung bakit magulo ang office mo kanina, kung bakit magulo ang damit ni Mikha, at kalat-kalat ang lipstick niya?"
I felt a surge of heat in my chest at the mention of Mikha, and before I could stop myself, I cursed under my breath. "Damn, Sheena, you've been asking me that all day!"
The three of them burst into laughter, their eyes sparkling with curiosity. They were definitely enjoying this, and I could tell they weren't going to let it go easily.
Stacey leaned in, a grin on her face. "Come on, Aiah. We know something happened. Ano bang nangyari? Spill it."
Gwen raised an eyebrow. "Oo nga, Aiah. Magkakabalikan na ba kayo ni Mikha?"
I couldn't help but smile as the memory of what happened in my office flashed in my mind. The heat, the closeness, everything... I couldn't deny it. "No," I replied firmly, though I was still smiling. "We're not getting back together. It's just... complicated."
Sheena looked at me, unsatisfied with my answer. "Complicated, huh? Sige, ayaw mong magsalita, pero wala kang ligtas sa mga tanong ko."
I sighed and rolled my eyes. "Fine, fine. Maybe I'll tell you later. But for now, let's just enjoy the night, okay?"
The teasing didn't stop, of course. Sheena and Stacey were relentless as they sipped their drinks, their playful banter filling the air.
"Come on, Aiah," Sheena urged, a mischievous glint in her eyes. "Sumayaw ka naman, wag kang magpaka-cold CEO na uupo lang dito."
I groaned, crossing my arms as I leaned back in my chair. "I'm not a dancer like you," I said, rolling my eyes.
Sheena snickered, clearly not satisfied with my answer. "Pero naging dancer ka noong kayo pa ni Mikha!" She leaned in closer, a wicked grin on her face. "Remember yung sumayaw ka sa harap niya nong lasing ka? Paano nga ulit yun?"
Then, with impeccable mimicry, Sheena began to imitate me, mimicking the way I had swayed and moved when I was tipsy, completely uninhibited by anything. She exaggerated every gesture, and for a moment, I felt the heat rise to my cheeks as I remembered that night.
The laughter from the group was deafening. Stacey joined in, giggling uncontrollably. "Oh my God, Aiah! You were a mess that night! You were all over Mikha, weren't you?"
I groaned again, slouching in my seat. "Shut up, both of you."
Sheena, not ready to let it go, leaned closer with a teasing smirk. "You know, Aiah, you never told us what exactly happened after that... moment. Hmmm?"
I shot her a glare. "I said drop it. No more talking about that."
But deep inside, I knew I couldn't completely shut them down. Sheena and Stacey were right-there was something that happened, something I couldn't easily forget. But maybe it was too complicated to explain now, and tonight wasn't the time for that.
For now, I just wanted to enjoy the night with my friends. Even if they were giving me a hard time.
Stacey leaned back in her chair, a smirk on her lips as she crossed her arms. "Ang KJ mo talaga, Aiah," she teased, shaking her head. "I mean, seriously, we're just having fun!"
