AIAH'S POV

I laughed, the sound low and mocking as I watched Mikha struggle to compose herself. Her hands trembled slightly, her breathing uneven-oh, she hated this. Hated that I still got to her.

I reached out, cradling her face between my fingers, tilting her chin up so she had no choice but to meet my gaze. Her lips parted, but no words came out.

"See you at my office tomorrow, my secretary," I murmured, savoring the way her brows furrowed in frustration.

She wanted to fight me. Wanted to push me away. But she wouldn't-because she couldn't.

I smirked, running my thumb across her jaw in a slow, deliberate motion before stepping back. "Enjoy the night, Mikha," I added, voice laced with something dangerous. "Kiss whoever you want. Dance with whoever touches you first. Pero alam ko kung sino pa rin ang iniisip mo sa dulo ng gabi."

I saw it in her eyes-the flicker of something she refused to name.

Desire.

Regret.

A losing battle.

I turned on my heel, walking away without looking back. I didn't need to. I already knew she was still standing there, fists clenched, heart pounding.

And I knew that no matter how much she tried to drown herself in the crowd tonight...

She wouldn't be able to forget me.

I barely made it past the exit when a familiar voice cut through the night.

"Damn, Aiah."

I turned to see Sheena leaning against a nearby column, arms crossed, amusement dancing in her eyes.

She pushed off the wall and walked toward me, shaking her head. "That was one hell of a show back there."

I smirked. "Did you enjoy it?"

She let out a low whistle. "I don't know who I should feel bad for-Mikha, because she's obviously still caught up in your mess, or you, because you're clearly just as trapped as she is."

I scoffed, shoving my hands into my pockets. "Trapped? Please."

Sheena raised a brow. "Oh? Kasi from where I was standing, it looked like you were two seconds away from pinning her against that wall and-"

"Sheena," I warned, rolling my eyes.

She just laughed. "Takte, Aiah. You really kissed her in front of everyone, huh?" She nudged my arm playfully. "Trying to remind her what she's missing?"

I smirked, unbothered. "She already knows."

Sheena let out a dramatic sigh. "Damn. Must be nice having that kind of confidence."

I turned fully to her, tilting my head. "And what about you, Sheena? You seem pretty entertained by all this. Don't tell me you're still rooting for us?"

She snorted. "Rooting? More like waiting to see who crashes and burns first."

I chuckled. "You always did love a good disaster."

She grinned. "What can I say? You two are the best kind of trainwreck."

I shook my head, but there was no denying the truth in her words. Mikha and I were a storm-violent, unpredictable, and impossible to ignore.

And this was far from over.

Sheena gave me a once-over, her grin fading just slightly. "Pero seryoso, anong ginagawa mo rito? Akala ko busy ka sa company mo, CEO?"
