Mikha's POV
The days passed by in a blur of warmth, laughter, and quiet moments that made my heart feel full.
Aiah and I had fallen into a routine-one that I never thought I would love this much. Mornings were filled with her lazy attempts to keep me in bed longer, arms wrapped around my waist as she murmured, "Five more minutes, baby..." even though we both knew it would turn into twenty.
Workdays were chaotic, but she always found ways to make them interesting. She'd send me flirty messages during meetings, steal kisses in the elevator when no one was looking, and take me out to lunch just because she wanted to see me smile.
Evenings were our safe haven. Some nights, we'd go out on spontaneous dates, driving around the city with no real destination. Other nights, we'd stay in-her head resting on my lap as we watched a random movie, my fingers lazily running through her hair.
And in the quiet of the night, when the world felt still, she would hold me close, whispering sweet nothings that made me fall in love with her all over again.
One Saturday morning, I woke up to the feeling of soft kisses trailing down my shoulder.
"Hmm..." I mumbled sleepily, cracking one eye open to see Aiah smiling at me.
"Good morning, love."
I groaned, burying my face in the pillow. "Too early."
She chuckled, pulling me closer. "I was thinking we could go somewhere today."
I lifted my head slightly, curious. "Where?"
"Anywhere." She grinned. "Somewhere we can just enjoy the moment. No work, no distractions-just us."
I smiled, my heart swelling. "That sounds perfect."
And it was.
We spent the entire day just being together-no deadlines, no responsibilities, no one else but us. We drove out of the city, windows down, music blasting, hands intertwined as she sang off-key to every song.
We stopped by a beach, running along the shore like kids, the waves chasing after our feet. She twirled me around in the sand, laughing as I shrieked, completely carefree.
Later, as the sun set, we sat on the hood of her car, watching the sky turn into shades of orange and pink.
Aiah glanced at me, her eyes soft. "I love this," she murmured. "I love us."
I reached for her hand, squeezing it gently. "Me too."
And in that moment, with the ocean breeze in my hair and the woman I loved by my side, I realized-this was happiness.
Not the kind that burned fast and faded.
But the kind that stayed.
After spending the afternoon at the beach, Aiah suggested a picnic. I thought she was joking at first, but when she pulled out a fully packed picnic basket from the trunk of her car, I just stared at her in disbelief.
"You planned this?" I asked, raising an eyebrow.
Aiah grinned, looking smug. "Of course. I'm the best girlfriend ever, remember?"
I rolled my eyes but couldn't stop the smile forming on my lips. "You're something else, Navarro."
She winked. "I'll take that as a compliment."
We found the perfect spot near a grassy hill, where we could still see the ocean in the distance. Aiah spread out a soft blanket, and I helped set up the food. There were sandwiches, fresh fruits, cookies, and even a bottle of wine.
