I turned in her arms, finally facing her. She looked at me expectantly, waiting.
I cupped her cheek, brushing my thumb gently against her skin. "Tigilan mo nga 'yan. Ako 'yung maswerte sa'yo."
Aiah's eyes softened, and for a moment, she just looked at me like she was memorizing every detail.
Then, her lips curled into that signature smirk. "Paano kung pareho tayong swerte?"
I rolled my eyes again, but this time, I leaned in, pressing a quick kiss to her lips. "Fine. Tie na lang tayo."
She grinned against my lips. "Deal."
After fixing ourselves and getting dressed, we finally left the condo and headed straight to Navarro Enterprises.
The playful, teasing Aiah from earlier had shifted into CEO mode the moment we stepped into the car. Her posture straightened, her face turned serious, and she was already checking her emails on her phone.
Meanwhile, I had to remind myself that I was back in secretary mode-the ever-efficient, no-nonsense assistant to the ever-annoying but brilliant Aiah Navarro.
As soon as we entered the building, the usual buzz of employees greeted us. But before we could even reach Aiah's office, a familiar figure stood in our way-arms crossed, a knowing smirk plastered on their face.
Stacey.
"Aba," Stacey drawled, eyeing us both up and down. "Mukhang maganda ang gising niyo ah."
I resisted the urge to roll my eyes. "Good morning to you too, Stacey."
Stacey ignored me, turning their attention to Aiah instead. "Boss, parang ang fresh mo ngayon. Iba talaga pag-"
"Stacey." I shot them a warning look, already knowing where this was going.
They held up their hands in mock innocence. "Wala pa akong sinasabi, Mikha."
Aiah, of course, just smirked. "Go on, Stacey. Ano 'yung gusto mong sabihin?"
Stacey grinned. "Wala naman. Gusto ko lang i-comment na ang blooming niyo pareho. Glowing, kung baga."
I groaned, pinching the bridge of my nose. "Pwede ba, Stacey, umpisahan na natin ang trabaho?"
Stacey chuckled, then leaned closer and whispered just loud enough for me to hear, "Sino ba naman kasi ang hindi mag-glow after a fun night?"
I felt my whole face heat up. "Stacey!"
Aiah laughed, clearly enjoying this. "Huwag mong asarin masyado ang secretary ko. Baka mapagod siya ulit."
I turned to glare at her, but she just winked.
Oh my god, this day is going to be long.
I took a deep breath, trying to ignore the lingering smirk on Aiah's face as I sat at my desk. The teasing from Stacey was bad enough, but Aiah making it worse? Unbearable.
Shaking my head, I focused on my laptop, checking Aiah's schedule for the day. Meetings, emails, reports-same routine, different day. At least work was something I could control.
As I was reviewing some documents, I heard a voice beside me.
.
"Hey, Mikha."
I looked up and saw Jacob, one of the marketing executives, standing by my desk. He was holding a cup of coffee and smiling at me.
"Oh, hey, Jacob," I greeted, offering a polite smile. "May kailangan ka ba?"
He chuckled, shaking his head. "Wala naman. Napadaan lang ako. You looked busy, naisip ko lang baka gusto mong mag-break muna." He held out the coffee. "I got an extra one."
