Chapter 25- Memories to keep

Start from the beginning

Aiah rolled her eyes. "One time lang 'yun!"

I laughed, shaking my head as I grabbed a piece of toast. "So, sino talaga nagluto nito?"

She leaned forward, resting her chin on her palm, smirking. "Ako nga. Hindi ka ba naniniwala?"

I narrowed my eyes, studying her. "Swear?"

She raised her right hand. "Swear. Ako nagluto. Nagtanong-tanong pa ako kay Sheena para sure na edible."

I blinked, genuinely surprised. "Wow... So, anong nakain mo at biglang natuto kang magluto?"

She grinned. "Simple lang. May gusto akong alagaan."

I paused, my heart doing a weird little flip at her words.

Aiah took a bite of her toast, acting nonchalant, but the way her eyes twinkled told me she knew exactly what she was doing.

I cleared my throat, trying to ignore the way my chest suddenly felt too tight. "Tsk. Kung gusto mo lang akong asarin, sabihin mo na agad."

She laughed, shaking her head. "Hindi nga. Now eat, love. Baka sabihin mo naman, hindi lang kita pinagod, ginutom pa kita."

I glared at her, but my face betrayed me with the heat creeping up my neck.

She just winked. This woman is insufferable.

After finishing our breakfast, I leaned back in my chair, feeling full and satisfied. I had to admit-Aiah's cooking wasn't bad at all. I was still a little suspicious about how she managed to pull it off, but I decided to let it go for now.

Aiah stretched her arms above her head, her shirt riding up slightly, revealing just a hint of her toned stomach. I quickly looked away, pretending to focus on my coffee.

Then, she spoke. "So... sabay na ulit tayo maligo?"

I nearly choked on my drink. I snapped my head up, giving her an incredulous look. "Ano?!"

She smirked, resting her chin on her palm as she gazed at me with those teasing eyes. "Sayang tubig, 'di ba? Tipid mode pa rin tayo."

I scoffed, rolling my eyes. "Aba, may pa-environmental advocacy ka pang nalalaman."

She shrugged. "Concerned citizen lang."

I huffed, shaking my head. "Hindi na, Aiah. Baka kung ano na naman gawin mo."

Aiah put a hand over her chest, feigning innocence. "Grabe ka naman. Wala akong ginawang masama kagabi."

I shot her a glare. "Exactly. Kagabi. E paano ngayong umaga?"

Her lips curled into a smirk. "Depende sa 'yo. Gusto mo ba ulitin?"

I grabbed the nearest napkin and threw it at her face. "Aiah! Ang aga-aga!"

She just laughed, catching the napkin effortlessly. "Fine, fine. Ikaw na bahala. Pero 'wag ka magtatampo kung biglang sumabay pa rin ako."

I stood up, crossing my arms. "Subukan mo lang, makakatikim ka talaga sa'kin."

She grinned. "Hmm. Noted."

I groaned, already regretting ever entertaining this conversation.

Aiah Navarro was impossible.

After clearing the table, I grabbed my fresh clothes and headed to the bathroom, ignoring Aiah's smug expression as I passed by her. I knew her well enough to know she was still thinking about her brilliant idea of showering together again.
