But she was already leaning back in her chair, grinning like the little devil she was.
"Oh, this is going to be fun."
I exhaled sharply, leaning back against my chair as I crossed my arms. Stacey was still grinning like she was enjoying my suffering.
"What the hell are you doing here, Stacey?" I asked, unamused.
She shrugged, tilting her head. "Checking in on my favorite CEO, of course."
I narrowed my eyes. "Bullshit."
"Fine." She smirked. "I wanted to see if you were still alive after last night."
I rolled my eyes. "You act like something happened."
Stacey gasped dramatically. "Something did happen, Aiah! You let that girl touch you! Kiss you! In front of Mikha, no less." She tsked, shaking her head. "Sheena said Mikha looked like she wanted to throw herself into traffic."
I clenched my jaw, annoyance flickering through me. "Mikha and I are nothing now."
"Sure." Stacey gave me a knowing look. "And yet, here she is-your secretary."
I sighed, rubbing my temples. "Why are you really here, Stacey?"
She grinned. "Because this is entertainment."
I groaned, already regretting my life choices.
A sharp knock on my office door made both me and Stacey pause.
I straightened, already knowing who it was even before the door opened.
Mikha stepped in, holding a small breakfast basket in her hands. She looked composed as ever-serious, professional-but the slight crease between her brows told me she was already annoyed.
My gaze flickered to the basket. "Saan galing 'yan?"
She sighed, glancing at the attached note. "From Zara," she read flatly, then placed it on my desk like it was something disgusting.
Stacey, of course, wasted no time.
"Ohhh, Zara," she sang through the phone, clearly enjoying this. "The soon-to-be girlfriend daw ni Aiah Navarro."
I heard Mikha scoff beside me.
Then, without warning, she reached over and smacked Stacey on the back of the head.
"Aray naman!" Stacey whined, rubbing the spot while I bit back a smirk.
Mikha just rolled her eyes. "Tigilan mo 'ko, Stacey. May trabaho pa 'ko."
I leaned back in my chair, watching her with amusement. "Hmm. Jealous, secretary?"
Mikha shot me a glare, her jaw tightening.
I was definitely enjoying this morning.
Mikha let out an exasperated sigh, crossing her arms. "Jealous? Sa'yo? Sa kanya? Hindi ako ganun kababaw, Navarro."
Stacey, still rubbing the spot where Mikha smacked her, let out a dramatic gasp. "Grabe! 'Navarro' na lang? Akala mo naman hindi kayo-"
"Stacey," Mikha warned, shooting her a sharp glare.
Stacey grinned, clearly unfazed. "O, edi hindi ka naman pala nag seselos, bakit ang init ng ulo mo?"
Mikha scoffed, shifting her weight to one foot. "Nakakainis lang kasi ang ingay mo sa umaga."
I smirked, watching the way Mikha avoided looking at me. "Inggit ka lang kasi walang nagpapadala ng breakfast sa'yo."
Mikha rolled her eyes. "As if gusto ko 'yan."
