Chapter 8- Diversion

Aiah didn't pull away.

Didn't react much either, but she also didn't pull away.

And that was enough to make my blood simmer.

I exhaled sharply, shaking my head. Tangina, Mikha. Ano bang paki mo?

Then, as if the universe really wanted to test me today, a familiar voice cut through my brewing irritation.

"Uy, Mikha!"

I turned just as Sheena sauntered toward me, an easy grin on her lips. She was holding a cup of coffee-probably from the café downstairs-completely oblivious to my current mood.

Her eyes flicked toward my line of sight, and before I could even pretend that I wasn't staring, she followed my gaze.

Sheena's grin widened. "Ahhh. Kaya pala."

I rolled my eyes. "Shut up."

But of course, she didn't.

She stepped closer, peeking at Aiah's office with amused curiosity. "So... kamusta ang bagong trabaho? Masaya bang maging secretary ng ex?"

I shot her a glare. "Sheena."

She cackled, unbothered. "Bakit? Legit na tanong 'yon!"

I sighed, rubbing a hand down my face. "I swear, if you-"

"Okay, okay, seryoso na." She raised her hands in surrender, but the teasing glint in her eyes remained. "Pero girl, mukhang may ka kompetensya ka, ah."

My eyes snapped back to Aiah's office-like they weren't already glued there in the first place. Andrea was still talking, still leaning too close, and Aiah was just sitting there, composed as ever.

I huffed. "As if I care."

Sheena snorted. "Yeah, sure. That's why you're literally fuming right now."

I shot her another glare, but she just sipped her coffee, utterly entertained by my suffering.

"Alam mo," she mused, tilting her head, "kung ako 'yan, lalapitan ko na."

I scoffed. "Hindi ako tulad mo, Sheena."

She shrugged. "Your loss. But hey, kung gusto mong makaganti..." She smirked, nudging my arm. "Pwede naman tayong gumawa ng diversion."

I raised a brow, curious despite myself. "Anong klaseng diversion?"

Sheena grinned mischievously. "Something fun."

And that's when I knew-this was about to be a disaster.

I narrowed my eyes at Sheena, already regretting letting her speak. "Sheens, I swear, if this is one of your brilliant ideas-"

She beamed. "Oh, it definitely is."

I groaned. "Tangina."

Sheena grabbed my wrist, pulling me closer as she lowered her voice. "Look, ayan oh." She nodded toward the glass, where Andrea was still all over Aiah. "You're just gonna sit here and let that happen?"

I clenched my jaw. "What do you expect me to do? I'm her employee, Sheena. Wala na akong karapatan para-"

"Bullshit." Sheena cut me off, smirking. "You and I both know na hindi ka lang basta employee sa mata ni Aiah."
