The soft hum of the city outside the large office windows was drowned out by the heavy silence between Y/N and Taehyung. She sat in his office chair, absentmindedly scrolling through her phone, when the door suddenly creaked open.

She expected it to be his assistant, but instead, it was her.

A woman—tall, elegant, and exuding a quiet confidence—stepped into the room. Her long, dark hair cascaded down her back in soft waves, and her eyes gleamed with familiarity.

Taehyung's eyes widened slightly in shock. "Eunha?"

Y/N stiffened at the way he said her name.

The woman smiled. "It's been a long time, hasn't it, Taehyung?"

Y/N rose to her feet, trying to mask the sudden wave of unease rushing through her. "Who is she?" she asked, her voice calm but firm.

Taehyung hesitated for a moment before sighing. "She's... someone from my past."

Eunha turned to Y/N, offering a polite nod. "I'm Eunha. I used to be very close to Taehyung... back when things were different."

Different?

Y/N's heart clenched.

She watched as Taehyung's gaze softened just a little. He wasn't looking at her like he looked at Y/N, but there was history in his eyes. And that was enough to send insecurity creeping into her chest.

"Why are you here?" Taehyung asked, his tone guarded.

Eunha let out a small chuckle. "Straight to the point, I see. I just got back to Korea, and when I heard you got married, I had to see it for myself." Her eyes flickered to Y/N, scanning her from head to toe. "I never thought I'd see the day Kim Taehyung settled down."

There was something in her tone—something subtle, but sharp. Y/N didn't miss it.

Taehyung crossed his arms. "Well, now you've seen it."

Eunha smirked. "I also wanted to thank you," she continued. "You probably don't remember, but back then, when I was struggling, you helped me in ways no one else did. I'll never forget that."

Y/N felt her stomach tighten. She didn't know this part of Taehyung's past. He had never mentioned helping another woman before.

Eunha turned back to Y/N, eyes twinkling with something unreadable. "You're lucky, Y/N. Taehyung is the type of man who gives his whole heart to someone he truly cares about."

Y/N clenched her jaw.

Was that a compliment? Or a challenge?

Taehyung sighed. "Eunha, it was good to see you, but my wife and I were in the middle of something."

Eunha's lips curled into a knowing smile. "Of course. I won't take up more of your time." She took a step closer to Y/N. "It was nice meeting you."

Y/N forced a smile. "Likewise."

As soon as the door shut behind her, Y/N turned to Taehyung. "Who was she to you?"

Taehyung ran a hand through his hair. "She was my first love. But it was a long time ago."

Y/N felt like she had been punched in the gut.

His first love.

That explained everything—the way he had looked at her, the slight hesitation in his voice, the small spark of nostalgia in his eyes.

"Why didn't you ever tell me about her?" Y/N asked, crossing her arms.

Taehyung stepped closer, his voice gentle. "Because she doesn't matter anymore. You're the only one that does."

Y/N wanted to believe him. But the image of Eunha's confident smirk lingered in her mind.

Maybe she was overthinking it. Maybe it really didn't matter.

But deep down, she knew—this wasn't the last time she'd see Eunha.
