Y/N stormed out of Taehyung's office, but the fire in her chest refused to die down. Her hands were clenched into fists, nails digging into her palms as she stepped into the elevator. The betrayal, the games, the power struggles—it was suffocating. And yet, the one thing she couldn't shake was him.

Taehyung.

The man who made her burn in anger but also ignited something deeper within her—something she wasn't ready to admit.

She reached her penthouse, slamming the door shut behind her. She paced the floor, trying to calm the storm within her, but it was useless. Every time she closed her eyes, she saw his smirk, his piercing gaze, the way he spoke with such infuriating confidence.

And then, as if summoned by her very thoughts, her phone buzzed.

Taehyung: You left in a hurry. Regretting it already?

She let out a sharp breath, gripping her phone tightly. That arrogance—he knew exactly what he was doing. He knew she wouldn't be able to ignore him.

Y/N: Stay out of my life, Taehyung.

A second later, her phone buzzed again.

Taehyung: Now, where's the fun in that?

Her frustration peaked. She needed to get him out of her head. Maybe a drink would help.

She poured herself a glass of wine, taking slow sips, trying to drown out the emotions waging war inside her. But the more she drank, the more her thoughts betrayed her.

She wanted him.

No matter how much she denied it, the truth clawed at her. The way he challenged her, the way he made her heart race—she hated him, but she wanted him just as much.

A knock at her door snapped her out of her thoughts.

Her heart skipped a beat. She knew who it was before she even opened it.

Taehyung.

He stood there, dressed in his usual black suit, his tie slightly loosened as if he had rushed here. His eyes, dark and unreadable, scanned her with quiet intensity.

"Drinking alone?" he asked, stepping inside without waiting for an invitation.

Y/N swallowed, setting her glass down. "What are you doing here?"

He shut the door behind him, leaning against it. "You left so suddenly. I wasn't done talking."

She scoffed. "I was."

He took slow, deliberate steps toward her, closing the distance between them. "You think walking away is enough?" His voice was lower now, smoother, wrapping around her like silk. "You think you can just ignore this?"

Her breath hitched as he reached out, tracing his fingers along her jawline. A shiver ran down her spine.

"This?" she echoed, refusing to back down.

His lips tilted into a smirk. "The tension between us."

She clenched her fists at her sides. "There's nothing between us."

Taehyung chuckled, his fingers tilting her chin up, forcing her to meet his gaze. "Then why do you look at me like you're about to kiss me?"

Her resolve wavered. She hated how he could see through her so easily, how he could read her emotions before she even acknowledged them herself.

"I hate you," she whispered, her voice shaky.

"I know," he murmured. "But that doesn't change the way you feel right now."

She should have pushed him away. She should have slapped him, told him to leave.

But she didn't.

Instead, she closed the distance, crashing her lips against his.

It was fire. Pure, unrelenting fire.

Taehyung groaned against her lips, his hands gripping her waist and pulling her closer. The kiss was desperate, angry, full of all the emotions they had buried for so long. She felt the heat of his body against hers, the way his hands roamed over her back, pressing her flush against him.

He lifted her effortlessly, carrying her toward the bedroom as their lips never parted. She didn't stop him. She didn't want to.

Tonight, there were no enemies. No power struggles. No games.

Just them.

He laid her down on the bed, his eyes dark with desire. "Are you sure?" he asked, his voice husky.

Y/N knew she was walking into dangerous territory. But at that moment, she didn't care.

"Yes," she whispered.

That was all he needed to hear.

He claimed her lips again, his hands roaming, exploring, memorizing every inch of her. The night blurred into touches, gasps, whispered names. They lost themselves in each other, in the fire that had been burning between them since the very beginning.

And when morning came, Y/N woke up to find herself tangled in Taehyung's arms, her head resting against his bare chest.

Regret should have settled in.

But it didn't.

Not yet.
