Author's POV

Ever since that encounter at the library, Beomgyu couldn't stop thinking about Yeonjun.

The cocky smirk, the way he leaned just a little too close, and the infuriatingly charming way he spoke—it was all stuck in Beomgyu's mind.

Excitement bubbled in his chest every time he saw Yeonjun at school. But that excitement came with a side of frustration. Yeonjun seemed to thrive on teasing him, and Beomgyu, never one to back down, made sure to give as good as he got.

Over the past few days, the two had developed a strange, thrilling rhythm.

They passed sarcastic comments in the hallways.
They sent each other smug looks during class.
And then there were the lingering glances—those moments when neither said anything, but the tension in the air was undeniable.

But the real trouble started when they began making each other jealous.

Beomgyu's POV

I should've known Yeonjun would pull something like this.

He was sitting at lunch, laughing a little too much at something Soobin said. His hand casually rested on a random girl's shoulder as if he wasn't fully aware I was watching.

I scowled, stabbing my fork into my food. Kai raised an eyebrow beside me.

"Are you okay?"

"Fine," I muttered.

My eyes flickered back to Yeonjun. He caught my gaze, and of course, he smirked. That stupid, infuriating smirk.

Two could play this game.

Yeonjun's POV

I shouldn't have cared, but i did.

Beomgyu was standing at the vending machine with a guy, laughing at something he said. Laughing way too much.

I leaned back against my locker, pretending to scroll through my phone, but my jaw clenched every time Beomgyu smiled at him.

He glanced over, catching me staring. Instead of looking flustered, he smirked—a small, knowing smile that made my chest tighten.

I cursed under my breath. I had no right to feel this jealous, but the thought of anyone else making Beomgyu laugh like that... it made my blood boil.

Author's POV

The party was in full swing, music pulsing through the house as students laughed, danced, and enjoyed the night. Beomgyu and Yeonjun, however, were too busy with their little war to care about anything else.

They weren't speaking to each other.

They weren't even looking at each other.

But they were *very* aware of each other.

Beomgyu laughed extra loud when a guy leaned close to whisper something in his ear. Yeonjun rolled his eyes and slung an arm around a random girl, flashing his most charming smile.

It was a battle of who could make the other more jealous, and neither was backing down.

The tension was thick, practically suffocating.

Until someone had the brilliant idea to start a drinking game.

A circle had formed in the middle of the living room, bottles of alcohol scattered around.
