It was about 8:50 pm on a Sunday, and Alex walked over to Kaiden's house, knocking on the door. He knew it was a bit later, but Kaiden was probably still awake. He stepped back away from the door, not wanting to be in the other's face once he opened it.
Kaiden looked up from his computer, knowing someone was at the door. He shuts his laptop gently and walks over to the door. He turns the doorknob and opens the door, noticing Alex at the door. He smiles happily. "Alex!" he exclaims, walking over to him and hugging him softly, not wanting to be overbearing
Alex smiles a bit and hugs Kaiden back. "Hey, Kaid." He responded, laughing a bit at the exclaim. "Happy to see me?" He said playfully, pulling out of the hug after a few moments.
"Very," he grins. He looks over at him, tilting his head slightly to the left.
Alex noticed this and looked a bit confused. "You good?" He asked lightly.
"Yeah," he nods. He sighs lightly. "I'm just a bit spacy lately. All the finals and shit. I hate it all."
He smiled softly and nodded. "I know, it's a lot. But after a week, we'll be free," He joked, nudging the other softly. "Why don't we go inside, hm?" He suggested.
"Yeah, that sounds good," he nods, walking back slightly and out of the doorway so Alex could walk in. "Sorry that my room's a mess, by the way. I don't like cleaning. It sucks."
Alex laughed, walking into the other's house. "I don't mind, really. My room is a shit hole-" He said. "I've had no time to clean with everything school-wise." He explained, shrugging.
"That's real," Kaiden grins. He closes the door behind Alex and starts to head towards his room. "How do you think you did on the finals and shit?"
He sighed. "I don't even want to think about it. I hope I pass-" He said, shaking his head lightly as he followed Kaiden.
"Didn't you have to repeat this school year?" he teases lightly. He walks over to his room, walks over to his bed, and sits.
He gave Kaiden a look. "Yes, I did. But that doesn't change the fact that I'm a dumbass half the time and don't fucking understand half the shit they teach." He said, plopping onto the other's bed.
"That's relatable," Kaiden nods. "At least we only have a few more days of this shit."
He nodded in agreement. "Yup, then we can leave the hell whole and figure out college and shit." He groaned.
"I don't even know if my grades are good enough for a legit college," Kaiden sighs. "I have a 2.8 GPA right now and can't change it."
"My mom is basically forcing me to go to one. She says it'll be good for me, though I personally think it'll just stress the shit outta me." He sighed.
"Will she pay?" Kaiden asks Alex. "College can put people in hella debt."
"She said she'd pay for about half, but I have to pay her back if I get a good enough job-" He said. "She's been saving for forever."
"I don't like your mom," he sighs. "Not about this, but I guess in general. At least she's paying for some of it...?"
"Trust me. I don't like her either in most cases." He responded. "But I guess so. She's being all bitchy about it though, which is how she is with everything-"
"You plan on moving out soon?" Kaiden asks. "To get away from her? And everything??"
Alex nodded, sitting up. "Yup. I almost have enough." He said. "I think after everything is done with school I'm planning on getting a full-time job to finish the rest of the money I need," He told Kaiden. "Then I'm out of there."
