"As you wish, Roman." The chef smiled, emphasising his name. He was used to Roman's tactics and behaviour by now. "They are strict orders from Mr Malhotra."
"Bastard," Roman grumbled under his breath. "Fine. Can you make pancakes for Vansh, please?"
The chef nodded his head, "And what would you like?"
"I'm not hungry," Roman said, ready to turn but the next words stopped him, "Mr Malhotra has-"
Roman forced a smile on his lips. Vihaan was aware that Roman never ate when he fell unwell and hence he had made it a rule for him to eat, which he forwarded to the chef so that Roman didn't miss his meals.
"I'll have the same as Vansh,"
He turned and found Vansh staring at him, "Do you want to watch the TV, baby?"
"Tommy," Vansh exclaimed, referring to Tom and Jerry.
"As you wish," Roman said, ruffling Vansh's hair.
Half an hour later, breakfast was plated on the table and Roman guided Vansh to the chair, who stared at his plate silently. "Do you want me to feed you?"
Vansh shook his head and silently picked up his spoon. He was missing Vihaan but he didn't want to sound clingy. He pushed the spoon into his mouth, the pancakes didn't taste as flavourful as they usually did.
Roman, who was having a silent glaring battle with his own plate, glanced at Vansh and shook his head. "Do you not like it?"
Although Roman understood what the case was, he wanted to hear it from Vansh.
"N-No. It's good." Vansh mumbled.
Roman sighed as he picked up Vansh's plate and placed it in front of him, "Oh come on, Vanshu. You look like a kicked puppy. Open your mouth, 'The Greatest Uncle Ro' will feed you today."
Vansh smiled, momentarily distracted, as Roman somehow helped him finish a quarter of the portion before Vansh declared that he was full. "Just one more bite, Vanshu."
"But I'm full," Vansh said, a whine slipping between the words.
Roman still held the spoon to his lips, waving it around in aeroplane motions, "Come on, baby. Don't you want the aeroplane to go home?"
Vansh reluctantly opened his mouth though he did grumble, "I'm not a baby, Uncle Ro."
"Aww, but you will always remain a baby for me and your Baba."
Vansh finished chewing and stared at Roman, who raised a questioning eyebrow, "What are you looking at Vanshu?"
Vansh pointed to Roman's plate, which was still fully occupied with food, and Roman resisted the urge to roll his eyes, muttering, "You both father and son belong to the same category."
"I'm eating." He added.
Vansh nodded, silently swinging his legs, his gaze examining the room. "When will he come home, Uncle Ro?"
Roman placed his spoon on the plate and wiped his hands on the tissue, "Who, your baba?"
Roman waited for Vansh to nod before he responded, "Any minute soon as far as I know."
Vansh twiddled with his fingers nervously, he wasn't used to Vihaan's absence. "Can we play, Uncle Ro?" He asked, trying to find a moment of distraction.
"I'm glad you asked. I was already starting to feel bored," Roman exclaimed, dramatically.

Vansh rubbed his eyes, sitting up on the bed from his nap that Roman had forced him to take. He glanced at the clock that displayed 5:57 in the evening.
