Part Two ~ Finding Vansh

"It's between me and my nephew. Keep your nose out of our business. Agreed, Vansh?" Roman asked, gesturing him to nod his head and Vansh followed his example.

Vihaan shook his head and moved to take a seat on the couch, pulling out his phone, he hadn't touched a single file today.

A few hours later, Vihaan set his phone down, stretching his tense muscles as he stood up. "How are you still playing this game?"

Vansh, who was chewing on his thumb, glanced up at Vihaan, unsure of how to answer the question but Roman answered for them, "Just like you can be on your phone for hours!"

Vihaan crouched down, ignoring Roman's remark, and tugged Vansh's thumb out, who gazed at him curiously, "You can't chew on your thumb, baby. Look at the skin, it's completly red and raw."

Vansh licked his dry lips, finding himself looking at the thumb, "Sorry,"

Roman sent a glare at Vihaan before softly saying, "There's no need to be sorry, Vansh. You didn't know what you were doing but next time don't put it into your mouth, okay?"

"Okay," Vansh muttered softly, his eyes innocently fixed on Vihaan, who was cleaning his thumb gently with his handkerchief.

"All clean," Vihaan said, putting the handkerchief to one side, "Are we all ready for dinner?"

"I'll be back after changing," Roman informed, already out of the door.

Vansh placed his hand on stomach, "Full,"

Vihaan held back an amused smile, "How baby? You haven't even touched a snack that I ordered you?"

Vansh glanced at the fruits on the table that Vihaan had brought him a few hours back, "Lunch,"

"That was a long time ago, Vansh. You have to eat, don't you want to be strong?" Vihaan asked, hoisting Vansh into his arms, who squealed in surprise, still not used to being picked up.

"Oh,"

Vihaan walked to the dining room, sitting Vansh on the chair, before he headed over to the kitchen and the child panicked, he hated to be alone. Slowly pushing himself out of the chair, Vansh followed the same directions where Vihaan had disappeared to.

Vihaan prepared a tray full of food and turned back, hearing small pattering of feet, "Oh hello there, you didn't like it there on your own?"

Vansh shook his head, his feet shuffling forward as he tried to glance at what Vihaan was doing but due to his height, he wasn't able to catch a sight of anything.

Vihaan effortlessly lifted him from under his arms and placed him on the counter, "Do you want to help?"

Vansh's eyes widened before he eagerly nodded his head, "Yes, please."

Vihaan felt himself smile as he handed Vansh the dressing oil, "Here. When I add a new pile of salad into the bowl, sprinkle some of it... Like this. Okay?"

"Okay," Vansh said, his eyes shining brightly. He hadn't thought Vihaan would trust him to do it right but he was happy that the man was letting him help.

Vansh sprinkled some of the dressing oil and glanced up for affirmation and Vihaan nodded his head proudly, "Very good, you can become my little helper in the kitchen if you want to."

Vansh nodded, his heart blooming with happiness, "Thankie."

"He's so cute," Roman cooed, stepping into the kitchen and whisking away Vansh into his arms, swirling him around.

Vansh giggled, feeling his cheeks being pampered with kisses before he was whisked away into a second pair of arms.

"That's enough. Be useful and go set up the table." Vihaan ordered, wrapping his arms around Vansh.
