"He doesn't have to say anything. Vansh is my son, I don't need to prove it to you." Vihaan said, resisting the urge to whack Roman across the head.
"Jealousy~Jealousy~Vihaan Malhotra is jelly jelly of his own broth-" Roman's singing was cut off by a pillow crashing into his face.
It was silent for a moment before Vansh burst into laughter. It wasn't a smile. It wasn't small giggling sounds. It was full-blown laughter. Vihaan had been deprived to see this sight before him.
Roman glanced at Vihaan, who had a genuine smile on his lips, he had never witnessed this sight before him in the 8 years of meeting him. He watched as Vihaan stepped towards Vansh and picked him up in his arms, twirling him around, before bringing him back down and pampering his face with multiple kisses, "My baby."
"If I get to witness this sight every day then I can happily bear you hitting me with the pillow once in a while," Roman whistled, teasingly, though his eyes were soft.
"Don't fly too high, Volkov. My son laughed at your foolishness-"
"La la la. And here we go again. I didn't know you could be so jealous, Malhotra."
Vihaan rolled his eyes though the smile didn't dare leave his face. His gaze shifted to Vansh when he tugged at his necklace, "You really do love this locket, hmm?"
Vansh let go of the necklace, now that he had Vihaan's attention, and pointed at the game board on the table, "I-I want to p-play, please."
"Of course, sweetheart," Vihaan muttered lovingly. He glanced at Roman and gestured towards the pillow, "Place it on the carpet. He is still sore from the injections that he received earlier."
Roman adjusted the cushion, mumbling, "Doctors are so cruel, they only care about stabbing people with needles."
Vihaan glared at him, he had a degree of his own as a doctor, but as he had chosen a different path, he hadn't focused on it for too long, unless it was necessary. "We don't like to stab people with injections. They are only used when necessary."
He placed Vansh down on the pillow before straightening up, "And for your information, if you had stopped pulling those foolish stunts, I wouldn't have to inject you."
Roman pouted. He hated any sort of medical equipment and when he was injured, he had always avoided visiting the doctor until Vihaan found out. Since that day, Vihaan had taken it upon himself to treat Roman's wounds and injuries, because he was aware if he didn't do it then Roman would roll around on the bed in pain rather than getting himself treated.
"Like I said, you are cruel. I'm sure Vansh will agree once you go into doctor mode with him." Roman grumbled, taking a seat on the left side of Vansh and pulling out the tokens to play snakes and ladders.
Vihaan scoffed yet deep down he knew he was a strict doctor who always closed off his emotions when it came to treating anyone. However, he had always gone soft on Roman and he was aware that Vansh was no different. They were his only family, who he would always melt for, but others who hadn't seen him would assume him to be a cruel king.
"Whatever flows in your boat, Volkov. Pull your act together and stop going to missions without informing me, and you won't have to face my wrath." Vihaan said. His eyes darkened at the mention of missions and Roman flashed him his teeth, not in the mood for a lecture.
"Vansh, let me teach you how to play this. I will teach you all sorts of pranks and mischief and leave your Baba to deal with it. It'll be fun, we'll be a team against him, okay?" Roman whispered, leaning towards Vansh's ear.
Vansh stared at him with big innocent eyes yet the idea sounded great to him so he nodded his head, not aware of what he was signing up for.
Vihaan creased his eyebrow, "What rubbish are you whispering in his ear, Volkov?"
