After Thomas was appointed a runner by Newt, Minho led Thomas to the woods to a small shack where runners have an HQ. They stepped inside where Minho pulled a sheet off a large table and underneath was a large map of the Maze with the glade in the middle.
"It's the Maze, all of it." Minho said.
"What do you mean, all of it? I thought you were still mapping it?" Thomas replied.
"There's nothing left to map, I've memorized it myself every pattern, every cycle if there was a way out. We would've found it by now." Minho said with a look of guilt.
"Why haven't you told anyone this?" Thomas asked.
"It was Alby's call, people needed to believe we had a chance of getting out. But maybe now we have a real chance." Minho said and then he handed Thomas the key they got from the griever.
"Now about a year ago, we started exploring these outer sections that had numbers painted on the wall. Sections 1 through 8 and there was another symbol in Section 7 we didn't understand then, not until the bots showed up." Minho said pointing at Section 7 where a drawing of the Autobot symbol laid.
"That wasn't the only weird symbol, in section 6 there was that one." Minho said, referring to a drawing of the Decepticon symbol in Section 6.
"That's where Ben and Alby got stung and if the bots that came first said that Decepticons are Genocidal bots then no wonder nothing but death and pain comes from there," Minho said.
"These sections go through a pattern every day, so today 6 was open then tomorrow it'll be 4. Then 8 and 3 the pattern always stays the same." Minho said.
Thomas looked at the key and noticed 7 was on its small screen.
"So with that Symbol and this, what's so special about 7?" Thomas asked.
"I don't know, but last night when you killed that griever section 7 was open. Maybe it's where those cons crashed, tomorrow you and I and one of the bots are gonna take a closer look." Minho said.
Then a couple of large footsteps were heard outside and the shack and Thomas and Minho stepped out and Wheeljack was standing there.
"What is it?" Thomas asked.
"It's the girl," Wheeljack replied.
"Is she awake?" Minho asked.
"You could say that," Wheeljack said before walking off.
Unbeknownst to them Starscream was hiding on the other side of the shack and listened to all of the information Thomas and Minho exchanged and smirked before lifting his arm and pulling up a screen with what looked like a chat in a cybertronian language and he sent a message to an unknown user and chuckled.
"These flesh bags have no idea the pain they're in for." Starscream said to himself.
AT THE TOWER
Thomas and Minho ran to the bottom of the watch tower at the Glade while Wheeljack held back with Bumblebee at the tree line and she was at the top of the tower throwing random objects at the gladers while yelling.
"What's going on?" Thomas asked Chuck.
"Girls are awesome." Chuck replied laughing as Gally got hit in the head.
Thomas ran to the bottom of the tower dodging the objects.
"Hey, we just wanna talk!" Thomas yelled up.
The girl didn't listen as she kept throwing things at their heads.
"Hey, it's Thomas!" Thomas yelled up after that the girl stopped throwing objects at them and just stared down at them.
"I'm gonna come up, okay!" Thomas yelled up.
Thomas then came up by himself and opened up the trapdoor and saw the girl pointing a machete at him.
"Woah, woah okay easy." Thomas said worried for his safety.
"Where am I? What is this place? Why can't I remember anything?" The girl asked.
"It's okay all right, we've all been through this okay. And your name you'll get that back in a couple of days." Thomas said.
"Theresa." The girl replied.
"What?" Thomas asked.
"My name, it's Theresa," Theresa replied.
"Well Theresa, I'm Thomas but I guess you already knew that. And listen your gonna see these giant ass robots around here, but don't worry you can trust them they're-" Thomas said before getting cut off.
"Transformers," Theresa replied.
Thomas looked on in confusion on how she knew about the bots already.
"How did you know?" Thomas asked.
Theresa put the machete down.
A COUPLE MINUTES LATER
Thomas and Theresa stood at the edge of the tower while the rest of the gladers backed off so Thomas could find out more about her.
"What do you remember?" Thomas asked.
"I remember water feeling like I was drowning, these faces staring at me and this woman's voice saying the same thing over and over." Theresa said.
"Wicked is good." Thomas said, realizing they had the same visions.
"Ever since I've been here, I've had these dreams. I at least I thought they were dreams and you were there too, you said everything was going to change." Thomas said.
"I saw something else, I saw an Autobot." Theresa replied.
"One of them?" Thomas asked, pointing at Wheeljack and Bumblebee who were staring curiously.
"No, this one was different. He was red and had horns and was screaming in pain." Theresa replied.
Thomas looked very confused and realized he would have to ask Bumblebee and Wheeljack who this other bot was and now realized the creators must have been aware of the Transformers presence and was expecting them judging by the size of the walls.
Theresa then pulled two syringes out of her pocket.
"These were in my pocket" Theresa said, handing him the syringes with the strange liquid.
"W.C.K.D Wicked is good." Thomas said looking at the initials on the syringe.
"What if we were sent here for a reason?" Theresa asked.
