All of the Gladers gathered in the council hall, finally discussing the recent events that have taken place and what to do about Alby's current condition. Among the chattering Gally was the first one to speak up.
"Things are changing, there's no denying that first giant sentient robots crash into our Glade, Ben gets stung in broad daylight and then Alby." Gally said before pointing at Thomas.
"Now our Greenie here has taken it upon himself to go Into the Maze which is a clear violation of our rules here." Gally said.
"Ya, but he did save Alby's life." Frypan said.
Gally looked at Frypan with surprise.
"Did he?" Gally asked there, were a couple moments of awkward silence before he spoke up again.
"For three years we have coexisted with these things and now you've killed one of them. Who knows what that could mean for us." Gally said.
"What do you suggest we do?" Newt asked.
"He has to be punished," Gally claimed and all the Gladers started arguing, realizing the punishment was harsh, before Newt looked at Minho who was just standing in the corner contemplating his thoughts.
"Minho, you were there with him, what do you think?" Newt asked and Minho sighed.
"I think, in all of the time we've been here. No one has ever killed a Griever before, and when I turned tail and ran. This dumb shank stayed behind to help Alby and I don't know if he's brave or stupid, but whatever it is we need more of it. I say we make him a runner." Minho claimed.
Hearing this all of the Gladers started arguing about this statement and Chuck started chanting Thomas's name before stopping with no one chanting with him, then Thomas stood up.
"You don't know what else we found out there." Thomas said before Gally walked over to him.
"You don't have any kind of authority here, so sit down." Gally said getting in Thomas's face but he simply ignored him and stood in the middle of the room.
"We found more of them, more of the bots. They weren't like Wheeljack or Bumblebee, they had red eyes instead of blue and they had weapons for hands." Thomas claimed and the Gladers in the room started whispering worried about the existence of more bots.
"Then it's settled, we have to find a way to kill them before they kill us." Gally claimed.
"Woah woah, hold on let's not make a stupid decision here. Thomas said-" Minho said before getting off.
"Listen, if you want to throw the newbie a parade. That's fine, but if there's one thing I know about the Maze. It is that you do not-" Gally said before a loud horn interrupted him.
All of the Gladers and the two bots ran to the box to see it was coming up early, despite it only being a few days since Thomas arrived. It opened up and Gally opened the gate and Newt jumped in. It was a new Greenie, but something was off.
"It's a girl." Newt said and everyone looked further and indeed saw a girl at the bottom with black hair.
"I call dibs." A random Glader in the back said.
"I think she's dead." Newt said and Gally noticed something.
"What's in her hand?" Gally said, pointing at her.
Newt pulled out the note and unfolded it, the Autobot symbol was on the bottom of the note.
"They are the last ones ever, what the hell does that mean?" Newt asked before the girl shot up gasping for breath, showing she was alive all along.
"Thomas." The girl said before going unconscious.
Everyone looked at Thomas before suddenly he was picked up by Bumblebee and walked away with Thomas in hand and a couple of the Gladers gasped.
"You still think I'm overreacting?" Gally asked.
Bumblebee walked over to the corner of the glade where he and Wheeljack would talk and set Thomas down as they both looked at him.
"All right, listen kid. You gotta tell us about those other two bots you met out there, what they looked like, and what they were doing. Because we need to know what to expect if they show up." Wheeljack said to Thomas.
Thomas then explained for the next two minutes, how he was saved and almost kidnapped by the red bot and the gray bot who he was surprised to hear wasn't a female despite his legs which Bumblebee laughed at.
"Listen Thomas, let's keep this between us for now. But we know them." Bumblebee said.
"Well, I didn't think you didn't." Thomas said, confused.
"No, not the way you think. There was a war on our planet, there were two sides we're not going into the details without our leader here. But there were two sides: Autobots and Decepticons. We fight for freedom, they fight for power." Bumblebee said.
"So they're Decepticons?" Thomas asked and Wheeljack nodded.
Then yelling was heard and the bots and Thomas ran to the center of the Glade and saw all of the boys running away towards the woods, the bots and Thomas looked towards the doors and saw both bots walking into the Glade.
In that moment Wheeljack reached for two samurai swords on his back and Bumblebee's arm changed into a blaster and then both of the Decepticons stopped when they stepped into the glade.
"Miss us?" The red bot asked.
"That gray one looks like a girl." Frypan said from the back.
