Jenny: We don't know anything about this yet. We can't be sure until we we've found Ruby.
Before Dexter could respond, Johnny spoke up.
Johnny: Uh, bud... Y-You need to take a look at this.
He called out, several feet away. Y/n headed over to him, and once he'd gotten close, he noticed the look of distress on his face, as he continued to stare at the statue Y/n passed. Turning around, Y/n faced the statue Johnny looked at.
It was a very robust man just as muscular as Johnny, wearing a sleeveless cuirass with spiral patterns on the chest, along with a gladiator skirt held by a leather belt, which had a symbol of a storm cloud firing a lightning bolt on the round buckle. A cape hanged down from his shoulders, down to his waist. The frozen figure sported a head band around his head of curly hair. But upon noticing his face, Y/n was taken aback, with his breath catching in his throat.
Staring at the gladiator's face, was like looking at a reflection. For his face looked exactly like his own, only stuck in permanent fear. The others gather around, staring at the statue with the same level of horror and confusion as Y/n.
Y/n: It's.... me?
Dexter: No. It-It's your variant.
Taking a step back, Y/n turned his head, looking out at the field of statues, and the more he stared, the more he began to notice his own faces on other petrified variants of himself.
Another robust variant wearing a spandex suit with an "i" on the chest, and a small eye mask. A younger variant with spiky hair wielding a large key as if it were a sword. Another with a stern expression, wearing sunglasses and a trench coat, holding his hand out in front of him as if trying to stop something. Another, and another, and another, until Y/n counted at least twelve of them.
Y/n felt his heart pounding away in his chest, threatening to burst out. The Vigilants stood by his side, staring at his stone counterparts with the same look of horror he did.
Rex: Dios Mío. What does this guy have against you?
Danny: Whatever it is, it has to be worth killing you over and over again...
Hearing a heavy thud behind them, the Vigilants turned to see Jake crouched down on one of the homes, hanging over the corner like a gargoyle. His yellow eyes glowed brightly, piercing through the shadow he casted over himself, before he blinked and they returned to normal.
Jake: Danny had it right on the money.
He said, before pointing a claw at the ship beyond the gathering of statues.
Jake: I saw two life forces in the ship. One of them's faint, and fading.
Y/n: Ruby.
Y/n said in a hushed tone, turning back to see the ship.
Suddenly, Jake's eyes went wide, as he spotted the Greek variant of Y/n Johnny found, and stared at it with horrified unease.
Jake: Uh Y/n, is that-?
Rex: Yeah. Yeah it is.
Rex answered with the same perturbed tone Jake had, before turning and pointing at the other Y/n variants he spotted.
Rex: And so is he... and him... and him. We're creeped out too.
Rex remarked before Jake hopped off the roof and gathered with the others.
Jenny: So what's the plan? We take the fight to him?
Jack: I'd advise against that. If these people are as fragile as normal statues, Ruby might be shattered during of the battle.
