Somewhere in Aesop Sharps' past
"Come on Aesop! Don't just stand there, join in!"
Sharp stood in the back, watching Geoffrey and his minions laugh as they tortured muggles in the alleyway.
When Sharp accepted his assignment to travel to the states- he was not expecting to witness such evil.
He snapped out of his daze and went forward to grab Geoffrey's wrist. His voice was quiet but angry as he whispered to him in the dark
"What in the fuck do you think you're doing?!" Despite the painful cries behind him, Sharp did not want to bring more attention to them.
Geoffrey forced his wrist away from Sharp and shoved him back; his dress shoes clicked on the floor as he straightened himself to look down at him.
"What is your problem?"
"My problem is you attacking innocent people on the streets while we're on assignment-"
"Our assignment is done, I'm having a little fun."
The other wizards began to surround them as Sharp grabbed Geoffrey by the collar and pulled him in. As the painful cries began to fade, water droplets fell from above, and the ground below echoes from the wet impact. Geoffrey grinned - his white teeth shining through the dark.
"What do you care about these no-maj, Aesop? They're homeless, no one will know, and no one will care-"
"THAT DOES NOT MATTER! Your duty as an Auror is to protect--"
"My duty as an Auror is to do my assignments and then spend my money."
Geoffrey shoves Sharp back and straightens his collar.
"What is the point of power if you do not use it? What is the point of freedom if you do not spend it having fun? Think of it as practice, Aesop. Let out that stress - it feels better than sex."
Sharp held back enough - he lunged at Geoffrey only to be stopped by his minions. Sharps' arms were held strongly, his feet nearly floating from the ground as he struggled to be released. Geoffrey guffawed at the sight and placed his hands in his pockets before walking up to them. He leaned down until his face was inches away from Sharps; their eyes both boring into each other as the rain began to heavy and the water streamed down their faces.
"Did I strike a nerve? Are you a virgin? Or maybe you're just an idiot?"
He quickly took out his hand into a fist and landed a blow into Sharps' stomach, causing him to groan and go limp as the others held him up.
Geoffrey bent down again to look at him, this time using his hand to raise Sharps' chin for a better view. His lip was bleeding from biting it. His eyes began to sting from the rain and his hair sticking to his skin.
"You may be one of the top Aurors in London, Aesop, but I am one of the most powerful here. You will never win against me, and like it or not they've paired us together, so you're stuck with me until we're done."
Geoffrey glanced up at his men and they quickly released him. Sharp fell with a thud; his arms wrapped around his stomach where he was hit.
The rain continued as Geoffrey and his men walked away. Sharp crawled over to the brick wall and sat with his back against it. He looked up at the sky watching the water continue to pour before he turned towards the homeless. There were two, maybe three adults cowering in the corner with their hoods covering their faces. It took him a moment to realize that they were also protecting a child. He fought the tears in his eyes as he raised his wand. His voice was regretful and dejected as he whispered.
"Obliviate."
