"Sit," Cindy said. We were in the middle of the mall, in a huge circle with corridors leading to and away from it. I sat, and so did she. "place your hands on, flat on the floor. I followed her instructions, and touched the ice cold marble. " Do you fell the powere surge?" I nodded. The marble was vibrating a little.
Cindy stood. "I wasnt expecting this one bit. You put alot of magic into this, alot that I dont have." She paced back and forth. "I cant help you anymore."
I didnt say anything. "Tell her," she mumbled.
I looked up and gasped. "I cant tell her! shed take away my powers and I'd be a laughingstock!"
"You need her," Cindy whispered.
My brain stopped working. When i tried t make a remark, she'd already vanished.

I plopped down onto my bed, just as my parents and Granny Ady wallked through the front door. I sat frozen, reviewing all my choices again. None of the could work, so I readied myself to march out to where she was.
