When Maskwa and Sam took their parents back down to the village, Sam made them all close their eyes, he had been planning with Shawn and he wanted their new home to be a surprise.

When he told them that they could open their eyes they couldn't believe what they saw. They already knew that the house would be different, they had chosen the style of house they wanted and they had a yard beside it with a stable big enough for five horses but what they didn't know about was a house on the other side of the yard.

It was a modest two bedroom property where Maskwa and Sam could have their independence if they wanted and there was plenty of room for guests because of course Paitoon and Chit would visit from time to time.

They were thrilled with their new home and couldn't wait to begin making it their own.

When all the members of the Aurora Springs tribe had successfully returned to their village a great celebration was held in their new village hall and everyone attended, it was a wonderful evening and many close friendships were formed.

It felt kind of weird after all the construction vehicles had been air lifted and taken back down the mountain, everything felt as if it had been a dream.

For the next several months they witnessed helicopters flying up to the resort as Kiri had the place redecorated and replaced all the furniture that they'd had to burn and before the snow came again, they had a visit from the Halfway Farm guide.

His arm was fully healed now although it gave him some discomfort when the weather was cold and he couldn't believe how different the village looked. When he saw Sam again he thanked him for guiding the rescue party up the mountain but Sam shrugged it off.

Raz and Pon also returned with a man called Oon and another man called Ngusoi, an extremely tall and handsome Vietnamese man and Raz got to work taking samples and doing all the tests he needed to do on site.

He also installed several seismometers in different locations around the mountain and because they used Pipon's old cabin as their base they were able to shift and carry the equipment up to plateau's and outcrops that they wouldn't have been able to access in human form.

Life was finally good again and after taking care of the horses and chickens, Maskwa would spend his mornings in the basement of the main house working with wood to restock his shop.

Sam spent a lot of time with Maskwa's mother who taught him all her recipes and after lunch, Maskwa and Sam would go out riding then at night they would all watch a movie or just sit chatting.

Sam would tell them stories of his travels around the world and all the modelling jobs he had done and when asked if he missed that life, he had to admit that he didn't, it had been fun at the time and it had earned him a lot of money but he was glad to have put it behind him.

That was the night he had confessed to his new family that he was a very wealthy investor and that they never needed to worry about money ever again, he explained that he hadn't said anything because he knew how proud they were as a people.

They were all proud of him and his achievements but he still wanted to do something, he had all that money sitting in the bank and he wanted to do something for the village but he didn't know what until one evening it suddenly came to him.

He and Maskwa discussed it with his in laws first and they thought it was a lovely idea and then they went to the village elders who agreed then Sam got in touch with Kiri to help him with the red tape.

Sam commissioned a stonemason to come the village and had hoarding panels erected so that the villagers couldn't see what was being built and the stone mason stayed in their house with them.
