"He marked me." I tried to pull away from him. Wiggle free. "I'm marked. By that creep."
"No!" Caleb replied sharply. He tightened his hold on me. "August calm down."
I tried to pull away. I needed to see his face. I couldn't tell what he was saying no to. Was he arguing because I was trying to get out of his arms, or because of the statement I had made, because we both knew that he had most definitely marked me. I'd had stitches and a hospital stay that proved it.
My stupidity. My not paying attention. It had brought us here. I had allowed this to happen; to destroy us. "It's all my fault—"
"August, STOP!"
The next moment I found myself upside down. Upside down and in his arms, thrown over his shoulder and on the move. He was carrying me, my struggles futile as he brought me up to the love nest.
He dropped me down on the mattress as I struggled against him. He held me there. Sat on my chest. Pinned my arms down beneath his knees. His scent was suddenly overpowering. It filled the room, his comforting scent beginning to settle over me. I found myself relaxing against my will, ceasing my struggles.
Caleb grabbed the front of my shirt and pulled, tearing it at the placket and opening it wide.
"Look at the moon, August." He told me.
He was lowering his body down over mine. His hands still holding mine in place. His face was now at my neck, and I realized that I could see the stars. With his head lowered, I now had a clear view of the moon and the stars above.
The moon.
She was breathtaking, and I found myself focusing on her. My body growing heavy. I could feel Caleb. His warm heat. He kissed my neck. Gentle little pecks that started below my chin as he made his way down.
"I love you, August." He whispered between kissing me. "Just relax. Look up at the sky and relax."
He was at the base of my neck and moving across my shoulder now. Delicious shivers cascaded over me with every touch of his lips. My body was tingling, and then he was at that spot. The place where he had stroked and teased the night of the dinner party. He kissed it gently and my stomach reacted once more.
It was different this time. It was intoxicating. He began to concentrate on that spot now. His kisses growing firmer, more intense, more focused. He licked the hollow beneath my collarbone, and I gasped.
My breathing quickened. My hands fisted the sheets. My body was growing warm, tingly, every nerve standing at attention, waiting in anticipation for what might happen next. He continued to lick and kiss; to tongue gently at that spot as waves of pleasure spread down my spine. When he pressed his lips against that spot and began to suck, I moaned. Squirmed. I couldn't stay still. The feeling was too intense. I was immediately aroused. Alarmingly so. My body was responding much like it had the previous evening. I wrapped my legs around his hips. Pressing my hardness against him. Rubbing into him, searching for relief.
When Caleb released my hands, I threw them around his neck, and pressed his face into me. I wanted more. My wolf wanted more. We didn't want him to stop.
I lowered my hand to his waistband. Found the drawstring to his pants. A moment later I had released the knot, my hands slipping inside to push them down off his hips. To bare his erection.
His tip was wet, and slick and I stroked him gently with one hand as I attempted to lower my pants with the other. Somehow, I managed to get a leg out of my joggers, as I raised my hips, trying to line his hardness up with me.
