Y: "Tsukki, do you wanna play games? Or do you want to-"

"What does your mom think of me? Was I too affectionate with you?"

Yikes. Fumbled real hard with that one. I sound like a serial killer.

Y: "Huh? Oh, she loves you! You're family!"

...Family? But the last time I saw them was 7 years ago. Isn't that a phrase people say when they hang out a lot? When they all enjoy being around each other?

"What do you mean?"

Y: "I mean that you're family, Tsukki. We've known each other for 13 years!"

I looked down at the floor trying to understand what he meant.

"You know, you don't have to let me be here just because I was feeling bad, you're under no obligation to take care of me."

Y: "Do you want to leave?"

"What? No. That's not what I mean, just that-"

Y: "Exactly. Just think of this as when we were little, we used to sleep over all the time. You basically lived here. Plus, we love having you here."

That last part got me. I know he's probably lying, but the thought of someone liking my presence makes me feel good.

"That's weird."

Y: "Pshh. God forbid Tsukki finds out people care about him."

I roll my eyes.

I feel like running away, back to my house— but this is the closest I've ever had to a home. Not to pity myself. But I have to admit it's true. And it hurts.

Y: "What do you wanna do?"

"Uhh.. I don't know. What do you want to do?"

His mom comes in, "dinners ready! You love birds better be down in less than 5 minutes."

Ugh. That's probably the 8th time someone has called us love birds. I don't see the resemblance. We're childhood friends. Not that it's gross, just.. it's not who i am.

Y: "Mom!"

M: "sorryyy~"

She shuts the door.

She opens it again.

M: "be down in five!"

She shuts the door again.

Y: "sorry, she gets like that sometimes."

I'm silent.

Y: "Tsukki, are you comfortable? Do you want anything to drink or eat?"

"I'm fine. Stop fussing over me, Yamaguchi."

"I mean- thank you for offering."

Y: "aww, are you trying to be nice?"

"Shut up."

Asshole. You don't know a good gesture if I hit you in the face. Don't be angry that I have an attitude if this is my thanks when I'm nice.

Y: "we should probably go get dinner now, or my mom's gonna start yelling up the stairs."

"Fine by me"

While walking down, a delicious smell hits me like a bus. Is that.. takoyaki? No.. OKONOMIYAKI?!?!? I look down and see that Yama-mama had prepared my favorite dish. Anyone who knows me knows I will easily obey over food. The only instance. I want to scream, but I have to keep it in.

Tadashi looks at me with a smile, I guess he knew that this would happen.
