SYNOPSIS:

That's the question ringing at the back of Blaire's head as she struggles to cope with her deteriorating identity when she's forced to murder in cold blood, forced to take upon a new name, a new persona, with nothing but hope to cling to.

She'd tell you who she was, but there were too many numbers, too many names.

All she knew was she was going to escape, no matter how long it took.
She knew she was going to destroy them.

No, she hoped.

WARNINGS:

although this book is meant to be suitable for younger audiences, it does discuss a number of themes and viewer discretion is advised.

such themes are: language(nothing too shocking for wattpad lmao), mentions of sexual assault and trafficking, murder (there's only a few gory scenes), infertility and miscarriages, self harm, abuse(verbal, mental, physical), manipulation, panic/anxiety attacks, gambling, and pedophilia.
(thats alot of wild shit, i know, but before you go into this book i want you to know its a crime novel)

if you are able to digest these themes and have no previous history with them that will trigger your PTSD, you can continue reading(hehe)

although romance is not a central idea of the book, there is a lot of(uh) conflicts going on AND there is a wlw couple so if ur homophobic, heres my warning!!

the (very specific) tropes for the romance aspect !:

-enemies to lovers (strong distaste for each other)
-"who did this to you" but they realize its them who hurt the other
-two characters who love each other silently, but never do anything about it, effectively destroying everything they had.
-"do you really think i would betray you?
"given your history, that's exactly what i think"
-they try to kill each other multiple times!!!!
-childhood friends to lovers
-brothers best friend
-they tend to each other's wounds😁
-they kiss in the rain.
-one of them has to shoot an approaching car and sits on the others lap to get better aim
