Chapter 48

I walked back into my room and decided that I should probably do my cover now, because if I don't I will not find time tomorrow seen as how it's my birthday. If I don't do it tomorrow, I will probably put it off until my Dad and new manager yells at me for being so inactive because I put the pro in procrastinator.

I already practiced and perfected it a few times and I am now setting my brother's old camera up to record. I grab my old guitar and tune the strings before strumming it to make sure it sounds good. I guess now is as good as a time than ever and I press record.

"Hey guys! It's Paige here!" I say waving at the camera and resting my hand on the guitar. I know it's been awhile since I sang a cover and I'm terribly sorry, but I promise you that it will be much more often from here on out." I smile thinking of how far I've come in the past few weeks. "I want to thank all of you fans that have been here since before everyone found out I was a Grier, and I want to welcome all of the new fans that have just joined! Alright, I'm gonna leave that where it is because I am going to be singing Fall For You by Secondhand Serenade.

I strum the series of guitar chords for the intro and begin to sing softly.

The best thing about tonight's that we're not fighting

I crescendo, and pick up my pace as I reach the refrain.

I soften the chords once I reach the second verse.

This is not what I intended

I keep the fast pace, only strumming the chords instead of playing throughout the  bridge.

I soften my voice and my playing one last time for this refrain, still only playing the chords.

I make a spur of the moment decision to pick up the pace and start playing faster and all of the strings.

I sing out playing my last chord then look up at the camera as the chord is still ringing out.
